My parents were murdered on October 7th, and if anyone is slapping us in the face, it's people like you, who for the past 20 years have failed to prevent violence and bloodshed in Israel-Palestine, whilst making inflammatory remarks. Your administration could stop the war…
The United States strongly rejects @EmmanuelMacron’s plan to recognize a Palestinian state at the @UN general assembly. This reckless decision only serves Hamas propaganda and sets back peace. It is a slap in the face to the victims of October 7th.
Great to spend the afternoon with @EunisJassemi at Naseby Park’s Picnic in the Park 🌳 The Friends of Naseby Park have done so much for the community in recent years — can’t thank them enough. A brilliant day made possible by amazing local volunteers
Cracking day at the ‘Picnic in the Park’ in Naseby Park with @PJFerguson18 — huge thanks to Gerry Rice, Friends of Naseby Park, and Broomhill Hyndland Parish Church for putting on such a brilliant community event! 🌳🧺☀️
We are grateful to @ScottishLabour MSPs for adding their names in support of our statement on recognition. Alongside yesterday’s statement from @AnasSarwar, it sends a clear message that all Scottish Labour MSPs support recognition of the State of Palestine.
As a signatory to this letter, I sincerely hope it helps in the push to recognise Palestinian statehood.
221 MPs, from 9 parties, have sent a joint letter to the Prime Minister & Foreign Secretary urging them to recognise Palestine as a state now
The appalling scenes in Gaza are unrelenting. The UK will pull every lever we have to get food and lifesaving support to Palestinians, and we will evacuate children who need urgent medical assistance. This humanitarian catastrophe must end.
Good to visit the Glasgow Marie Curie Hospice to see the vital services they offer for people living with cancer & their families. I enjoyed meeting the team, hearing about the rapid access clinic, hospice care at home, & the campaign for a right to palliative care in Scotland.

Well done to @EmilyThornberry and the FAC committee. A really considered piece of work. I hope the government take up its recommendations.
We have published our report on the Israel-Palestine conflict. We have spent the last nine months taking evidence on the conflict. Today, we are calling on the Government to act more boldly and bravely to deliver a two-state solution. Read the report ⬇️ publications.parliament.uk/pa/cm5901/cmse…
I believe what we're witnessing in Gaza is genocide & support the Foreign Secretary’s comments that the new Israeli aid system in Gaza is inhumane & dangerous. I have again pressed the Foreign Secretary on the urgent need to recognise the state of Palestine.
As @CommonsScotAffs Chair I’m a member of the @CommonsLiaison Committee Yesterday we questioned the Prime Minister & I asked about the new jobs being created at Grangemouth I’m glad the PM acknowledged the importance of these jobs & the work needed to secure them. Listen below
Our Chair, @PJFerguson18, asked the Prime Minister whether he thinks the number of new jobs being created at Grangemouth and as a result of the wider North Sea transition can keep pace with the number of jobs being lost.
These attacks on @WHO are intolerable and are further crippling the health response in Gaza. Medics working in conditions that could scarcely be imagined in our worst nightmares must not be targets. Israel must comply with its obligations under international humanitarian law.
.@WHO’s staff residence in Deir al Balah, #Gaza, was attacked three times today as well as its main warehouse. Israeli military entered the premises, forcing women and children to evacuate on foot toward Al-Mawasi amid active conflict. Male staff and family members were…
Glad to see this.
Deeply concerned by the Israeli Civil Administration’s plan to revive the E1 settlement programme. If implemented, this would critically undermine a future Palestinian state and the path to a two-state solution - crushing the hopes of millions who wish for peace.
📮Many constituents have raised with me the poor postal service they receive from Royal Mail. I’ve raised this in Parliament & will be seeking a further debate on this important issue – it’s vital that Royal Mail & Ofcom are held to account for delivery issues.

When asked about the UK’s role in holding the Israeli government accountable to international humanitarian law, Foreign Secretary @DavidLammy defended the UK’s approach while also criticising recent actions by the Israeli government in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
