I've written sporadically on the internet before on and off throughout the years, but I'm very happy to debut my new piece via @Polygon in which I dive into the brief cinematic history of the Black Vampire. If you liked SINNERs, then this is for you. polygon.com/horror/562913/…
This teaser dropping legitimately felt like the second coming
in case you missed it in theaters or want to revisit it, 28 Years Later is officially available to watch on VOD. can't really recommend this one enough, a special thing and an instant favorite.
Starting to get really annoyed that with the U.K. laws in effect that are being pushed to the rest of Europe, that now I can't see posts from friends like Frankie. The damage these kind of laws do are ridiculous and I've had this account since 2009. It's absurd.
This is my favorite Yusaku Matsuda film.
THE NAKED GUN might be the most joke-per-minute movie we’ve had in decades. Dumb, goofy, HYSTERICAL. Also there’s a BUFFY joke in there that was made just for me
I’ll never get over how Daniel Sampere and Tomey Moreau render Diana’s shoulders. They’re iconic. They are the “Nicola Scott draws Nightwing’s ass” levels of ICONIC Impeccable. No notes. Flowers to all.
How do you respond without being folded in this situation?
Which one of you freak bitches is buying milk at Taco Bell?

Not just General Custer returning as an undead stalker, but in the malignant misshapen form of Crazy Horse
With all the tired/incorrect comparisons to Dances With Wolves and other a films based on the history of indigenous subjugation, Cameron truly puts his own signature on the concept with "what if General Custer came back like Michael Myers or Jason Vorhees"
The Naked Gun is an unmitigated laugh riot. It offers 80 minutes of unending sight gags, bemusing slapstick, and clever wordplay, with perhaps 3% of it predicated on anything specific to the “IP.” Oh, and “Comic Superstar: Danny Huston” almost steals the movie. It’s lots of fun.

My full review for #Weapons is up! I had a blast with it.
"Weapons shows no signs of Cregger hitting a sophomore slump—it's one of the best horror movies of the year so far." cgmagonline.com/review/movie/w… #Weapons #Horror
Caught by the Tides, the film of the decade and probably the century, is hitting Criterion Channel on August 5th. Never to be missed
Caught By The Tides: The way Jia tracks time via handheld mini DV to robotic security cam footage is truly astonishing. Decades traversed through a digital void where memories are pixelated and fragmented. This moved me more than anything I’ve seen in years. Zhao Tao, man.
I am now 3 weeks into shooting my 4th feature film in less than 10 months. Still editing all of them slowly but surely. I have written, directed and acted in all 4 of these. I am exhausted. TAPEFACE, TAPEFACE KILLS, METHOD, and now we are filming another western, A SHORT AND…
I do legitimately think this is one of my favorite trailers of all time. It's all James Horner score and the one line reading by Jake and it feels *powerful*.
Don’t love publishing this the same day IMAX announces its AI film festival, but maybe it’ll serve as a reminder of how much people love (and associate the brand with) tactile filmmaking and visceral experiences. On Hollywood’s love affair with 70mm IMAX: filmfreeway.com/articles/imax-…
