A definitive "We used to be a country" throwback. I saw this one three times in a theater (the third time was part of a double-sneak with ALMOST FAMOUS), and every time it was a delight watching the audience lose its shit during the third act.
25 years ago today, Robert Zemeckis’ WHAT LIES BENEATH opened in theaters. Michelle Pfeiffer & Harrison Ford (one of his best roles) are absolutely terrific in it. It’s a must-see if you haven’t. Fun fact: Clark Gregg (yes, Marvel’s Agent Phil Coulson) wrote the screenplay.

Studios are justifiably upset about the increasing lengthy pre-show reels of trailers and ads. Conversely, theaters would probably like a few more movies on the regular so they don't have to add extra commercials. (post in comments)
