A definitive "We used to be a country" throwback. I saw this one three times in a theater (the third time was part of a double-sneak with ALMOST FAMOUS), and every time it was a delight watching the audience lose its shit during the third act.

Regardless of whether this is true, the narrative of secretly planning to replace an acclaimed young Black actor as a primary character (while promoting him as the star attraction) with an older white actor whom you’ve used ten times as a different character isn’t a great look.

Studios are justifiably upset about the increasing lengthy pre-show reels of trailers and ads. Conversely, theaters would probably like a few more movies on the regular so they don't have to add extra commercials. (post in comments)
