2 years ago I went to #Antarctica with #teamHB4 of @HomewardBound16. I will never forget the BREATHTAKING BEAUTY and the SILENCE, only broken by the sound of waves, friendly animal life or crackling icebergs. This is one of my favourite photos that I called “leap of faith”🐧❄️

Always great to celebrate a final PhD seminar ✨ Well done 👏🏻 @nurdianah_ presented on “the role of aspirin in a novel model of metabolic dysfunction-associated fatty liver disease and HCC prevention”. We will miss Dianah’s outstanding histochemistry and pathology skills! 🔬🤓

Delighted to have contributed to this study with @rodcarlessi & the Liver Cancer Collaborative, led by Michael Karin (UCSD). ✨ Our research uncovers how FBP1 suppression via hypermethylation + a metabolic switch drive the evolution of HCC in MASH ✨ nature.com/articles/s4158…
THIS! so much amazing work, so little funding for critical research #academia #AcademicTwitter
ARC & NHMRC released grant outcomes. There will be a lot of people who could really do with a hug today. I am feeling for the many brilliant researchers that will miss out in a 10% success system with no accountability for scores & comments. We must do better 😔 #BringPanelsBack
Here's one of our tumeroid IHC's from our departing RA @NathanMain16 - we will miss his awesome lab skills, but all the best for the postdoc! #organoids #livercancer

🤓 Another great day at the 6th Australian Primary Liver Cancer Forum with an excellent lecture by Prof Peter Galle from my old home university Johannes Gutenberg Universität Mainz Germany on “Systemic Therapy in HCC 2024 - Increasing Options and a Shift to Earlier Stages”
