According to Literacy Inc, approximately 33% of high school graduates never read a book again after graduation. For college graduates, the number increases to 42%. Almost half of US adults (46%) did not read a single book in the last year. Put your phone down and read.

The online discourse between Christians MUST improve. We can not keep going on like this.

I sometimes wonder what it's like thinking that everyone who disagrees with me is a certain way, but then I come back to real life where things are complicated and people have all kinds of motivations/reasons for different things. People can just think you're wrong, btw.
At its root, protestantism is simply a Christian form of atheistic skepticism. Its entire raison d’etre is either “the Church failed to an extent requiring our intervention,” OR “‘Church’ means something no one ever thought it meant so we can avoid ‘the Church failed’ argument,…
God bless Dr. Barrett in this new season of life. I am sure he is getting a lot of heat right now, so I encourage us all to pray for him and his family during this time. He is still our brother in Christ. He didn't become a Muslim or something. Wish him well.
I am leaving Midwestern and the SBC. I am becoming Anglican. Here's why 🔽. Our family is so happy. matthewbarrett.substack.com/p/i-am-leaving…
Always. You never know when you'll have 10 minutes.
Pro tip: Always carry a book.
Everyone should want Christianity to be true. But I don't think they'd be morons. I think they would unfortunately have been given a lot of misinformation about Christianity growing up that makes them NOT WANT it to be true. I would want to set the record straight.
If you were going to go on the "one guy who's kind of decent at arguing debates 20 morons" show, what point would you argue with the morons?
Christianity is primarily about love.
A lot of evangelical churches run on pious sounding statements that are ultimately vacuous. People are searching for depth. You can have that depth as an evangelical, but most don't recognize this before leaving for something else that appears more in depth with bells/whistles.
Why do you believe there is a growing interest in Anglicanism, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Roman Catholicism among evangelicals?
Do you guys remember when Celsus, a pagan philosopher, thought this exact argument refuted Christianity as a whole, but then Origen gave him the business? Good times...
Sola Scriptura = One Bible. Endless division. Zero unity. Exactly what Christ didn’t pray for.
for freedom Christ has set us free; stand fast therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery
Praise Jesus that her surgery went well. Will continue to pray for her full recovery.
Update on Laura: Laura’s surgery is complete, and by the grace of God, her neurosurgeon was able to fully remove the glioma (brain tumor). We are deeply grateful for your prayers. Thank you so much for carrying her through this moment. Please continue praying. We won’t know…
