Could it be that reformed baptists care about the right administration of a sacrament and they treat the paedobaptist position as no small matter? God forbid a Baptist cares about Baptism.
What is dangerous about moving to another Protestant denomination? Honestly, you Baptists act like you are the ONE TRUE CHURCH much of the time, which, frankly, was also the attitude of the anabaptists. The hatred for Anglicanism is really becoming quite nauseating.
While I disagree with @MattMBarrett, and there are some valid questions about his leaving, I have benefitted from his work and hope to continue to do so. I say this as one who is not even slightly tempted to be anything other than a Baptist.
It’s not accurate to say classical Baptist theology is “individualistic.” 1. Individualism - All authority for being Christian rests in the individual. 2. Collectivism - All authority for being Christian rests in the church. Classical Baptists teach that individuals must…
I would be more concerned if my fellow Baptists weren’t showing frustration with Matthew Barrett’s conversion. Those who are, hold to a high Baptist sacramentology, which doesn’t treat abandonment of that principle as something small, but rather, a quite fundamental thing.
I don’t mean to insult my Anglican friends on this one but every person I know who has ever converted to Anglicanism (including its founder) didn’t do so because of some Anglican distinctive but basically just because he was trying to get away from something else.
Can someone do the due diligence to see if he has ever before mentioned the Epstein files prior to them becoming a political indictment on Trump? I’m too lazy
"You don't want the Epstein files released because there are liberals in there too." Incorrect! I'm not in a cult, buddy. I want absolutely everyone brought to justice. Release them ALL.
Funny how Jesus never found the need to reference Aristotle.
I want to retrieve the theology of the Apostle Paul by baptizing some believers on Sunday.
Well he blocked me after my comment, so I doubt he cares much about that either.
He's talking about free speech as a cultural issue, not as a legal issue.
All of Christendom is lifting you and your wife in our prayers today @Trent_Horn!
Hey @grok, based on ALL my tweets, I am: Which dictator? Which philosopher? Which fictional character? Which politician? Which religious figure? Which historical figure? Which artist?

I affirm the Theotokos, but still believe it to be a largely misleading theological concept that can serve as a stumbling block into mariological idolatry.
This is true. Debate is rarely a good place to determine vitality of ideas.
The smartest theologians I know would be absolutely terrible in debates. Their holiness and temperament don’t fit the format. These kids building their faith through internet debates aren’t growing in faith thought these fights, but growing in pride.
I meant to post about this live before but the post didn’t go through. Still, you should watch my discussion with @sincead33 on if Christians and Muslims worship the same God. I genuinely am seeking to understand the Catholic position, and this helped. youtube.com/live/c-jSI6Fnt…
