Pleased to witness & recommit our strategic partnership in expanding joint initiatives with @MinSocUA, including strengthening the social protection system & enhancing child protection reforms. Together we will work to introduce inclusive, child and family-centred modern services

I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Taras Kachka (@taraskachka), the Vice-Prime Minister for European Integration to discuss how @UNICEF_UA can assist in leveraging the EU accession process in the best interest of children using instruments like #EuropeanChildGuarantee and beyond.

I am pleased to witness the whole-of-government approach supported by the @EUDelegationUA and the EU MSs. I thank everyone involved for a strong commitment to an effective and inclusive policy for children in line with #CRC and #EU standards so that no child in 🇺🇦 is left behind.
Ukraine moves forward with the implementation of the #EUChildGuarantee, which aims to prevent child poverty and social exclusion by ensuring free and equal access to services. This is crucial in protecting and fulfilling the rights of every child, especially the most vulnerable.
Alongside @ZelenskaUA, opened 🇪🇺 Child Guarantee event. As an EU candidate, 🇺🇦 joins the initiative to ensure every child can access key services. The EU already supports 🇺🇦 children with 1M+ school meals daily, shelters, school buses & more. Even at war, children come first.
True recovery begins w/people – especially children. Their well-being, dreams & ability to build a future here in 🇺🇦 matter most. The 🇪🇺 Child Guarantee is about systemic investment – in education, healthcare & psychosocial support, every single day. It’s also part of our EU…
Deeply saddened about reports of a 10-y/o boy killed in an attack in #Kramatorsk. Our condolences to all affected. No respite for children as attacks continue across Ukraine. Reports of many children injured; homes, educational and health facilities damaged. Attacks must stop.
📍Odesa UNICEF and partners like @windsofchanges continue to provide immediate assistance to families affected by attacks. "We could hear cars exploding in the yard, smell the burning, see the smoke. My son was terrified," says Tetiana, whose family fled Kherson 3 years ago.
Attacks continue to impact children across Ukraine. In #Kharkiv, UNICEF and partners are providing emergency assistance like MHPSS and essential supplies to affected communities after the attack this morning. Children among those reportedly injured.
Heartbreaking reports of six children injured – including infants with the youngest just 28 days old – in an attack in #Kharkiv. The toll of the war on children continues to increase are more young lives are devastated. This horror must end. Stop attacks. Protect every child.
Maryna and her family have had to move apartments thrice already because their home always gets damaged in attacks. The explosions scare her children Artem and Varvara. "Again, our building was hit. Wherever you move, it still gets to you," she said.

Another convoy carrying humanitarian aid has reached a front-line settlement in the #Kherson Region. Humanitarians delivered hygiene & cold-season personal care items to support people who remain there despite the hostilities & limited access to clean water & essential services.
I welcome a big step for child rights in the 🇺🇦 justice system! The Cabinet of Ministers @Kabmin_UA approved a new National Strategy on Child Justice — aligning with 🇺🇳 @UNChildRights1 & 🇪🇺 principles. More than just a document — it’s a real move toward child-friendly justice.
