I asked this question at Full Council yesterday evening 23 July as I’ve been concerned about the work being carried out on the Middle Park estate and damages caused to property. See my question and Cabinet Members response.
🚨 Big praise from the Minister for Housing and Planning. Greenwich is delivering the most affordable homes. There is still a long way to go to solve the housing crisis, we’ll keep working towards this ambition.
Credit to @Royal_Greenwich who had the highest number of new affordable homes started of any London borough last year. Huge progress being made by @MrOkereke and his administration in delivering the 1,750 home Greenwich Builds programme.
On site at Morris Walk and Maryon Road this afternoon to see the fantastic progress being made on the Woolwich Estates regeneration programme. Hundreds of affordable homes for local residents, including 175 council homes. #GetBritainBuilding
I asked four questions at the @Royal_Greenwich Council meeting tonight. I asked whether we would be seeking an MOU with @forestbike_uk following the success of my motion to request one with @limebike, which will soon be passed. The MOU should improve dockless hire in #Greenwich
Busy day speaking to residents in #Greenwich Park ward today. Great to hear about people's concerns and discuss what the #Labour Government and the Council are doing to address them. Thanks to all who joined us, especially @mtpennycook.
Great to be out speaking to residents of West Greenwich, the rain didn't keep us away. Canvassing to ensure residents are heard and issues addressed. #labourdoorstep #VoteLabour
Out on the doorstep in West Greenwich this afternoon. Thanks to all those residents who took the time to speak to us.
Just me and the Mayor of Greenwich @CllrLindaBird at the Kidbrooke Police Hub opening on Tuesday!
Celebrating 25 years since residents moved into the #GMV @Royal_Greenwich. Joined by Tom Copley Deputy Mayor of London. In total over 3000 homes planned. We are investing in housing stock; 199 acquisitions in the GMV for our residents and more planned across the borough.
Thrilled to see Earl Rise finally resurfaced! Many residents have raised this concern on numerous occasions, and it's fantastic to see it addressed.
Grateful to @metpoliceuk and @SadiqKhan for backing Woolwich Town Centre as part of the Safer Streets Summer Initiative. In @Royal_Greenwich, we're worked hard to tackle anti-social behaviour and keep women & girls safe at night, this extra support will help us go even further.
This summer, town centres and high streets will see more police - as part of our work to tackle shoplifting, theft and anti-social behaviour. We’re working with the Met, local partners and community groups to build a safer London for everyone ⬇️ standard.co.uk/news/crime/met…
