Fantastic day canvassing in Shooters Hill for our outstanding candidate, Jummy Dawodu, ahead of the by-election on Thursday 26th June. Great response from residents and strong support for Labour.

Had a fantastic time hosting the Eid celebration at Town Hall yesterday evening! 🌙 It was wonderful to see so many amazing communities come together, especially the inspiring speeches from our young people.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich kicked off its first football match for Foster Care Fortnight! 🌟 Foster carers, children in care, council staff, and local councillors united for a friendly game against Avery Hill reserves. A great way to celebrate the Power of Relationships! ⚽️

We celebrated the refurbishment of the Hawksmoor Youth Hub in Thamesmead, thanks to our investment! 👷🤝 This beloved center now offers more opportunities for local youth with improved facilities, including upgraded rooms, new outdoor features, and a busy activity schedule. 🏀🎨

It was wonderful to accompany the Deputy Mayor @CllrLindaBird at the "Look at Life" events at Woolwich Barracks. These military-organised events offer young people a valuable chance to explore Army life and the diverse career opportunities it presents.


Last Week, we approved the budget to enhance the lives of children and young people in our borough with over £11M in investments: £200k for Emotional Wellbeing Hubs on top of the £1.3M investment. £1.7M for 6 new centres for SEND, we’re building a brighter future for CYP.

Thrilled to join colleagues at the groundbreaking of our new SEN school in Royal Greenwich! Rowan Wood School will empower children to reach their full potential. Our SEN strategy focuses on their needs—this facility is a great investment in our borough's future.



I had a wonderful experience at St Mary Magdalene CE Primary School today! The vibrant energy and eagerness of the students were absolutely inspiring. A special thanks to the leadership team and all the children for their engaging questions.
