Great British Energy 🤝 Metro Mayors Cutting energy bills for local libraries, fire stations, community centres, care homes and many more places. That’s what clean power is delivering for our communities. Lower bills, energy security, good jobs and climate action.
We’re working with mayors across England to power libraries, care homes and leisure centres with clean energy. Regions could save a total of around £35 million on their lifetime energy bills – savings that can be reinvested into their communities.

Investing in walking, wheeling, and cycling is key to our plans for a better-connected West Yorkshire. With support from @activetraveleng, we’re pledging to create a national active travel network, to help connect neighbourhoods and create healthier communities.
Thank you so much for visiting us @MayorEastMids and @JLC_uk. We so agree: meeting survivors like Martin and Arek is a humbling but enriching experience like no other. And yes - there is much education still to be done to be sure we avert the tragedies of the past.
An absolute honour to be invited to the @HolocaustCentUK this morning, and an even bigger one to meet two holocaust survivors, Martin Stern and Arek Hersh. Hearing their stories and seeing the work the museum does to educate is a morning I’ll never forget.
Thank you so much @MayorEastMids. We wholly support your Cultural Strategy to get the East Midlands the credit it deserves. @ace_midlands @HeritageFundM_E @JLC_uk @NSDCouncil @nottslive @MyNottingham @LeftLion
If you haven’t already, I’d strongly recommend you visit. @HolocaustCentUK @JLC_uk
