We’re working with mayors across England to power libraries, care homes and leisure centres with clean energy. Regions could save a total of around £35 million on their lifetime energy bills – savings that can be reinvested into their communities.

Britain's clean energy future is being built now. An additional £700m for @GBEgovuk to back UK supply chains, create jobs, & secure energy independence. Our Clean Energy Industries Sector Plan, part of the Industrial Strategy, will unlock growth potential across the country.
Last week I visited one of the 11 schools to have installed solar panels on their roofs, thanks to @gbegovuk and @educationgovuk. Great to see pupils and teachers excited to be leading the way with the first wave of rooftop solar and benefiting from more money spent on learning.
