As a basic principle of Scriptural interpretation, we should much rather prefer to STACK than SILENCE. Embrace 2 principles, even if they initially apparently conflict. Don’t try to erase one theme in order to amplify another. Wisdom is tension resolving to harmony.

I believe in “works salvation”— in that “it works.” Salvation actually works. It’s efficacious. It does visible, demonstrable things to you. Your life goes from chaos & unrighteousness to obedience & joy & hard-won battles even through harsh trials. Salvation works.

Salvation is God grilling a steak. You’re cooking (saved) as soon as you’re salted & tossed on the grill—even before the heat has visibly transformed you. But if after a while, you notice you’re still totally raw… you have to conclude you’re not being cooked (saved).

Surprised how many Christians identify w/ passages describing unregenerate people. Sir / ma’am, Jesus died & rose so you *wouldn’t* be Romans 3 or Isaiah 64:6 anymore. “Those led by the Spirit of God are sons of God” (Rom 8:14); “old has passed, new has come” (2 Cor 5:17).
