I was almost 9.
The scientific marvels of my lifetime — computers, the internet, mapping the genome, heart transplants — are wondrous. But for me, nothing can ever match the audacity of July 20, 1969, when Americans walked on the Moon. The memory still gives me chills. youtube.com/watch?v=hzApsI…
For Stephen Colbert. I prefer to remember him this way; youtube.com/watch?v=oASYa-…
On the other hand there is this; youtube.com/watch?v=oASYa-…
Colbert is typical of most lefty-trendy-capitulating Catholics: he's opposed to the Church's clear teachings on life and sexuality, he's full of himself, and he's boring. He's a human yawn.

“A primary concern according to TC is the assertion that the presence of the traditional liturgy in parochial settings leads to division within the Church. We can affirm with confidence that this has not been the experience in our parishes.” Pastors of Charlotte’s TLM parishes.
Everyone should post a Jane Greer poem in her honor.
from the inimitable Jane Greer-- Things are ending, or have ended, or will end. The pearls are strung with care, it is quite clear. There is no nothingness—but she can almost, some days, picture the world without her in it. newversereview.com/2-1-jane-greer Eternal memory.

Using natural dyes to color crap processed food is not making anyone healthier actually
I only knew her from Twitter but I will miss her posts. May she rest in peace. May the perpetual light shine upon her.
I am very sad to report that the wonderful Catholic poet Jane Greer @NorthDakotaJane has died. Please keep her soul, her family and her husband Jim in your prayers.
Hot take: the fact that world-class scholars like Jim Hankins (one of the very, very few non-progressive humanists at Harvard College) are willing to move from Harvard to Florida is a more fundamental long-term threat to the university than any of its current legal problems.
The University of Florida is the new leader in the study of Western and American civilization. So-called elite universities have abandoned the study of Western culture and politics over the last 25 years, and that betrayal has given other institutions the opportunity to create…
So many good men out there. Thanks guys

On August 5, 1942, Korczak joined nearly 200 children and orphanage staff members were rounded up for deportation to Treblinka, where they were all put to death. He died with them rather than abandon them. Today is his birthday. bookhaven.stanford.edu/2011/05/korcza…
Moms need sleep to function too
Sleep training was the best piece of advice I was given before my twins were born. I’m glad I followed the advice. Sleep is a critical function for development and growth. Sleep training provides the opportunity for this to happen.
I followed them in solidarity at the margins
Video of the soon to be (only) location for the TLM in the Diocese of Charlotte, NC. Located in Mooresville, NC the chapel is 45-60 mins north of Charlotte, and yet this was designated by the bishop. Exiled in the name of unity. The tragic irony. #tlm #Charlotte

There are sports in which women are just as ore even more fun to watch than men. Gymnastics. Ice skating
Women’s sports will never be widely popular because people watch sports to see athletes doing things they could never imagine themselves doing. Since women are smaller, slower, and weaker, women’s basketball looks like an Over 40 league at the YMCA. And nobody pays to see that.
Things I don’t think Jesus is going to say: You loved and honored my mother too much.
