It's 10.30pm pitch black on a Friday night. I live on the edge of the Leicestershire countryside. All I can hear is machinery from farmers working late at night trying to produce food for us at an affordable price. Farmers have been betrayed by this government #NoFarmersNoFood

Junior Doctors don't mention differences in the pension system. Employer pension contribution in the UK is 23.7%, which funds a final salary-style defined benefit scheme. In Australia, it's 11.5%, paid into a cumulative investment account (superannuation).

Steven, isn’t it worth mentioning that patients in Australia pay more for their care than we do in the UK? I wish doctors would be honest about this. If you want Aussie rates of pay, you should tell the public they need to make Aussie rates of contributions.

I’m sure this is true but Australia doesn’t have a beloved NHS in which *every* single person can receive *every* single treatment entirely free of charge. Doctors & patients here in the UK are entirely resistant to any kind of change to the NHS system so this is the UK pay. 🤷🏻‍♀️
