Being a new Black police officer has been hard for me during the current climate. I have been called a traitor to my race and told to choose between black and blue. I just a young black man doing an incredible job. @MPFed @metpoliceuk

I couldn’t agree more with @Brick_Cop. I was a @NationalVPC Cadet with @metpoliceuk. I learnt so much through them and met great people. I can’t recommend them enough but to see the organisation shrinking is upsetting to read. It is and was always a good way to engage with the…
We make some funny decisions. Reading that we will be shrinking our @NationalVPC contingent is very sad to read. Not only do I have some excellent colleagues who were Cadets, it’s an amazing tool to reach out to young Londoners. A real shame in my opinion. 😔 #ThinBlueLine 🚨
You may have “delivered” 20,000 police officers including myself but that doesn’t replace the numbers of Police officers and staff that were cut prior to this (approximately 21,000). This also doesn’t include the retirements of good experienced officers and those who feel the job…
We’ve delivered 20,00 new police officers and cut crime. Keeping people safe will always be @Conservatives priority.
This couldn’t have been accomplished without our hardworking and dedicated police officers. I am proud of what I do and I am proud of who I work with. @metpoliceuk #ThinBlueLine #Policing
"The Met is overwhelmingly made up of good officers and staff who work relentlessly to keep Londoners safe." "The announcement by @HMICFRS that the Met has moved out of 'special measures' validates our substantial progress so far." Read more ⬇️ standard.co.uk/news/crime/met…
It’s my 5 year anniversary with @metpoliceuk. (Am I an old sweat yet?😂). There has been some highs and some lows but I still enjoy the job I do. So here is to many more years (hopefully). #TheThinBlueLine #ThinBlueLine #Police
“The more we crush the spirit of officers the less able they are to fight crime.” The jury made the correct decision today but unfortunately as officers we know this isn’t the end for Sgt Blake. I imagine the IOPC will attempt to go for a second go through a Misconduct hearing…
I really do think @metpoliceuk have made a mistake with this one. We want to build community relations and get more people into policing and the @NationalVPC is a massive driving force to do such. I stand with the families of current Cadets and the Cadets themselves in hope that…
Members of the Metropolitan Police's Volunteer Cadet scheme have said they hope the force will reconsider cutting the programme. . bbc.in/47q7BPP
Feeling kinda down today if I’m honest and I’m not usually one to admit it. Probably a few reasons why; 1) Completed my NIE today and if I’m honest I’m not at all confident even with all the revision. 2) Received the emails about the job I applied for and unfortunately I didn’t…
Had a really good attachment with a Specialist Crime unit whilst the applications were open. I hope I made a good impression and I hope I make it through the paper sift. I’ll keep everyone update #TheThinBlueLine #ThinBlueLine #Police #CareerDevelopment #CareerGrowth @metpoliceuk
My Blackstone revisions books have finally arrived. Better get my study on. Sooner I start the less cramming I’ll do. 🤓🤓 #TheThinBlueLine #ThinBlueLine #Policing #NationalInvestigatorsExam @metpoliceuk @MPFed @policepass

I’ve taken the plunge and signed up for the National Investigators Exam in September. I think while on my current job role and where I want to progress I think it is the best options for me. Ordered my revision guides so I can only try. @metpoliceuk @CollegeofPolice @MPFed…
Second post I’m making on this topic. We need retention of police officers. Retention of experience. Retention of people that was to do ‘the job’ as a Career. #Policing #TheThinBlueLine #ThinBlueLine
In 2019, we promised to deliver 20,000 more police on our streets. We did. Now we’ll go even further and deliver 8,000 more police officers to keep our streets safe.
I love an early morning (4.30 Start) aid in the middle of annual leave. My fault for not booking it off earlier😴😂 #Police #EarlyShift
I’ve had this word and similar words and phrases used against me whilst by members of the public whilst doing my job. I find this highly offensive and would have to disagree with this. But I short clip.
Full clip below. Interesting commentary from the Chair of the National Black Police Association. He seems to be saying there are contexts in which calling black or brown people "coconuts" isn't highly offensive or racist... 🤔🤦
The #ThinBlueLine symbol whether it’s in a patch, Cap, Flag, t-Shirt, etc is the symbol of those colleagues who have lost their lives in the line of duty. This is symbol is a sign of remembrance, a symbol of Respect. I wear my patch on my uniform with pride in honour of fallen…
I really don’t reckon cops should be allowed to wear symbols associated with far right & fascist movements on their uniforms. Like this one with his thin blue line badge. 🤢🤢🤢 But then there’s a lot of stuff I don’t reckon the cops should be allowed to do.
Two courageous police officers and colleagues I have had the honour to work with were seriously injured doing what very few do…Running towards danger rather than away. Please consider a donation to support them in their long road to recovery. @metpoliceuk @MPSRedbridge…
The debate of arming officers is back in the news and on social media….(Let me throw my 2 pence in) Personally I think all officers who want to carry TASER no matter the role should be trained and allowed to do. But when it comes to Firearms I think we should leave it to our…
Terrible, Horrific Event especially when it’s in your own patch. Thoughts are with the victims (including colleagues I know and have worked with), the family’s and the community. If anyone who sees this has any footage or information please call 101 #ThinBlueLine #Policing…
Police and emergency services are in Hainault at a serious incident in which a man with a sword has been arrested. Read and share our latest update below. We do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the wider community - this incident does not appear to be terror-related.
