Labour is out speaking to residents come rain or shine. It was great to be out on the (very rainy) #LabourDoorstep today with Waltham Forest Labour in High Street and St. James wards for our brilliant @WFLabourParty teams.
📍Bisterne Avenue, Upper Walthamstow Great to see neighbours out weeding their street! These volunteers are creating spaces where bees can flourish by hand-weeding instead of using harmful pesticides. Interested in a bee-friendly street? The Council offers support 🐝
Great day out on the doorstep in Leytonstone with @Labourstone picking up issues and hearing about how this Labour government has made a difference already!

This week @wfcouncil convened its #ClimateEmergency Residents Panel to discuss our #NatureEmergency🦔 & what we can all do together to support our local nature🦔. A really constructive evening, with lots of gr8 ideas💡. Really grateful to the residents for giving up their time!

Fantastic to join local PC Anna Cork from the Cann Hall Safer Neighbourhood Team at the Public Sector reception in Number 10 Downing Street last week.😃 A huge thanks to Anna for your service in our community! 🙌 @MPSLeytonstone
🚫 We've championed LTNs since our report first coined the term, cos evidence shows they work, reducing collisions AND creating safer-feeling streets that help people walk/wheel/cycle. Faster action on this data means faster action on lives saved: bit.ly/3ToAEgz
Who would have imagined that reducing speeds and reducing through traffic would result in fewer deaths and injuries? theguardian.com/world/2025/jul…
Have a great day Rudies 🖤🏁 Fun Boy Three, Our Lips Are Sealed. #2ToneDublin
New research shows LTNs are making our streets safer. 10yrs of data in & around 113 London LTNs shows: 💚37% less deaths & serious injuries 💚No negative safety impact on surrounding roads 📉that's 600 fewer injuries (100 fewer deaths & serious injury) theguardian.com/world/2025/jul…
At the 7/7 Memorial in Hyde Park, I joined the Prime Minister and representatives of our emergency services to lay a wreath to honour the 52 people whose lives were cruelly stolen. Our thoughts and prayers remain with all of their loved ones and all those who were injured.
Really looking forward to one of @wfcouncil & #LeytonstoneE11 annual cultural highlights the ‘Leytonstone Arts Trail’ commencing this weekend. @Ideaspace3 @CannHallCllr @khev_limbajee @DoreRosalind @WFLabourParty @CalvinBailey @stoneminimarket
