Today, as part of @ArtsMindsCmpgn, we were in Westminster delivering an open letter to the Department for Education with 10,000 signatures calling for children to have access to the arts and to put creativity at the heart of the curriculum. 📝

‘every one deserves the chance to be touched by art’ is a statement that means less than nothing … what @labour should be saying is that every child will receive a commitment to facilitate the making of art in the classroom to develop their voice

Launch of the Children’s Art Trail in Leytonstone last Monday. Shop windows in the town centre and St John’s Church are displaying wonderful and witty images and words celebrating nature. Works are by children from local schools including ⁦@JennyHammondE11⁩

This week @wfcouncil convened its #ClimateEmergency Residents Panel to discuss our #NatureEmergency🦔 & what we can all do together to support our local nature🦔. A really constructive evening, with lots of gr8 ideas💡. Really grateful to the residents for giving up their time!

Cllrs joined a tour this morning of artworks created by local schoolchildren (including from Jenny Hammond). Inspired by Bob and Roberta Smith, the theme is nature. The works are in windows around Leytonstone Town Centre. @Leytonstone_art ⁦@Ideaspace3⁩
