Throughout July, Louisiana 4-H groups spend a week at Marsh Maneuvers camp, a hands-on educational program that teaches 4-H’ers about coastal ecology and restoration.




Last week I attended the Sugar Research Station Field Day in St. Gabriel, LA. There was a record crowd with 325 people. Total value of Louisiana sugarcane production in 2024 was $1.6 billion.

Very grateful for the warm welcome at the 116th LSU AgCenter H. Rouse Caffey Rice Research Station Field Day yesterday. It was a privilege to spend time with Louisiana's ag leaders and researchers and to see firsthand the work that drives such a crucial industry in the state.
