After 20 years at LSU, Matt Lee steps in as Interim President, bringing steady leadership and a commitment to building teams that win, for Louisiana and for the world. 🎥 Watch his message to the LSU community below:
There’s no denying the momentum at @LSUAlexandria! From tackling workforce needs head-on to managing record-breaking growth with vision and purpose, the progress is inspiring. Grateful for the chance to see it all up close.
Interim LSU President Matt Lee visited the LSUA today. We shared major LSUA wins for 2024-25 and our strategic plan for managing record enrollment growth. We also shared the degree programs recently added that directly address workforce shortages across CENLA.
Thank you, Chancellor Smith, for the warm welcome — and the campus tour (pets included🦎)! It was truly energizing to witness the progress and momentum at LSUS. The future is bright!
Chancellor Smith toured Interim LSU President Matt Lee around campus this afternoon, and despite the heat, it was all smiles 😃, handshakes 🤚 and pets? 🤔 You’re welcome back anytime, @lsupresident Lee!
Great to be on the Cajun Prairie today visiting LSUE! Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome and for showing off the great work happening here.
We had the pleasure of welcoming @LSU Interim President @MLeeLSUAg1 and some of the LSU leadership team to campus as they tour the campuses in the LSU system. Thanks to President Lee for taking time to see all of the good things happening here on the Cajun Prairie!
Matt Lee, @LSUpresident, assisted retired LSU AgCenter alligator specialist Mark Shirley in collecting alligator eggs. Louisiana farm-raised alligators have an estimated gross farm value of $56 million.
Thank you, @lsubaseball, for having me address the fans in Alex Box last night as we celebrated your victory in Omaha. We only win as a team, and at @LSU, we always play to win. Congratulations again, and Geaux Tigers!
Every winning team we build boils down to the following: three letters, two colors, one heart. Congratulations @LSUbaseball!

Very grateful for the warm welcome at the 116th LSU AgCenter H. Rouse Caffey Rice Research Station Field Day yesterday. It was a privilege to spend time with Louisiana's ag leaders and researchers and to see firsthand the work that drives such a crucial industry in the state.

Proud to join @LaAgandForestry Commissioner Mike Strain and @LaFarmBureau President Richard Fontenot today at the @LSUAgCenter Rice Research Station Field Day. Louisiana rice fuels our economy and communities, and @LSU research helps lead the way.

Geaux Tigers!
THE TIGERS ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS
I’ll be cheering on @LSUbaseball today in Omaha! The louder we roar, the harder they play. We are One Nation. Purple and Gold. And we’re ready to bring another national title back to Baton Rouge. #WBTTW
