These duties are nothing more than a tax on middle-class Americans trying to build or rebuild a home. #bcpoli #cdnpoli

When Conservatives talk about cuts, this is what they mean. Cancel the bridges we’re building. Halt the hospitals underway. Abandon people in communities desperate for new services. Now is the time to build more — not less.
This is lunacy. Transportation Critic @HarmanBhanguBC says the BC Conservatives would make cuts by stopping infrastructure projects that are already underway - starting with the Pattullo Bridge, which is almost complete. 1/3🧵
Incredibly reckless. The BC Conservatives want to cancel major projects that employ thousands of workers and make our economy less dependent on the US. The last thing our economy needs.

BC will be the engine of Canada’s new economy - powered by clean energy and in partnership with First Nations. Yesterday, Trump said windmills are “killing us” and that he won’t let any new windmills be built in the US. To clean energy producers in America – come to BC.
We’re doubling down on clean power, expanding our grid, and working in partnership with First Nations – all while securing the clean electricity industries need to grow and creating thousands of good family-supporting jobs.
Dear U.S. clean energy developers and investors: you are officially welcome here in beautiful British Columbia. #CleanEnergy⚡️
A lot has changed since October. One thing that hasn't is our commitment to growing the economy, creating jobs and collaborating to secure BC's future. BC is emerging as the engine of Canada's new economy w/ innovation at the heart of this transformation. vantechjournal.com/p/things-have-…
Today, Premier @Dave_Eby and I joined with @BCHydro to announce the 2025 Call for Power is now open. ⚡️ We are looking to acquire 5,000 gigawatt-hours from new, large, clean-energy projects - enough to power 500,000 homes. 🏡 👉 news.gov.bc.ca/32624
Trump: no more wind power in the US Eby: come to BC instead
Trump: "The other thing I say to Europe: We will not allow a windmill to be built in the United States. They are killing us."
What he said… 👇🏾
To my American friends, we don’t pay the tariffs in Canada. You do. Increased tariffs on our forest products increases the cost for new homes in your country. It’s the same for every product…

For the fuck sticks in the back… We. Pay. The. Tariffs. WE pay them. Next up: water is wet.
Real pride. Real partnership. Big smiles with Chief and Council of the Lake Babine First Nation, as we sign the expansion of their Woodland License. This is what true reconciliation looks like. It’s a powerful thing, and an honour to be part of. #Reconciliation #BCForests
After decades of strong relationships with U.S. administrations, the Trump administration has blown that up. As one door closes, others open—we continue to expand our relationships with friends around the world
Canadians need to take the tariff dispute with the United States less personally, and stop viewing their relationship with their American neighbours as akin to being part of some sort of family, says the U.S. ambassador to Canada. cheknews.ca/rob-shaw-u-s-a…
Rural communities are the heart of BC.🍁 We just opened #REDIP's fourth round of funding, bringing more jobs, better infrastructure, and economic growth to rural communities. If your community has a great project, we want to hear from you: news.gov.bc.ca/32609 #BCJobs

From forestry workers in BC to small business owners in Washington State, Trump’s actions hurt workers and families on both sides of the border. Thank you, Senator @PattyMurray, for joining me today in standing against these tariff threats. We’re better when we work together.
The newly expanded oncology clinic at Penticton Regional Hospital means people in the South Okanagan can now access better cancer care, closer to home. More space, more privacy, and a better environment for patients and staff alike. 📖 Read more here: news.gov.bc.ca/releases/2025I…
We are aware of the incident at Red Chris Mine in Northwestern B.C. and are working closely with the mine operator to support them.
Concerned to hear of an emergency at the Red Chris Mine where three miners are trapped. We have dispatched a senior geotechnical inspector to support the company's efforts. Our thoughts are with the workers, their families and those involved in rescue efforts.
