Body language and player feedback are huge for us. Maybe it’s not 100% accurate, but observing bar speeds and quality/speed of body weight movements. If either, or both, are lacking it’s time to step back to avoid potential issues.

Drop the volume, keep the intensity relatively high. Big focus on intent of movements/exercises for quality sets and reps. Total training session times drop within that. Get in, get out, play hard!

Football Pre-Season Conditioning/Yardage Accumulation 3 Stations: 3-4min work/1-1:30min rest between stations - Sled Push/Pull - Bag Drills OR Short-Long-Short Combos - Ring Of Fire Cone Reaction Tempos/Marches - 20/30 yds (Bigs/Skills) - Sled March Repeats (Heavy Sled)

I’ve had a few people ask me for this so I’m reposting it. Simple way to show sport coaches that intensity isn’t the enemy during in-season training. Rather, volume and time under tension are. Then, get them to understand it’s exactly the same when it comes to practices.
