Massive congratulations to @JamesCleverly for joining the Shadow Cabinet in a huge role shadowing Deputy PM Angela Rayner. James is a political heavyweight and a welcome addition in Kemi’s team.
🎥 It was a huge honour to travel with Shadow Secretary of State @StuartAndrew and create this film for him. We met over 40 businesses in the Southwest in 7 iconic venues including the @EdenProject. The message is clear, we need to do more to support enterprise.

Obviously it’s only a small handful of by-elections but the fact Reform are failing to hold by elections in seats they won just weeks earlier, points to a potential weakness in maintaining momentum. With up to 4 years to go till the GE that risks being a problem for them.
Eccleshall & Gnosall (Staffordshire) Council By-Election Result: 🌳 CON: 44.4% (+10.1) 🌍 GRN: 27.3% (+8.2) ➡️ RFM: 24.7% (-10.3) 🌹 LAB: 3.7% (-3.9) No LDM (-4.1) as previous. Conservative GAIN from Reform. Changes w/ 2025.

Labour are lucky that the Green Party continues to push these views that locks them into the political margins. Most reasonable people surely consider protests that involve directly breaking into our military bases and interfering with our security systems as a step way too far.
Disgusting government is trying to lump @Pal_action & Neo Nazis into one bill. Peaceful protest to stop a genocide has nothing to do with fascism - and the public know it. Cynical. Transparent. Undemocratic.

I don't support Rachel Reeves's policies but at a human level, it is difficult to watch someone so utterly crushed in the public limelight. Brutal. But the consequences to the public might well be worse.

Had a wonderful time in the South West this week with @PascUK, spending time with the people and businesses that are the backbone of the UK tourism industry.
It’s been absolutely amazing touring local businesses in the South West with the outstanding Shadow DCMS Secretary of State @StuartAndrew over the past couple of days. Can’t wait to share the digital content. Learned a lot.
I’m not why this is a win. @_RobbieMoore is one of the nicest people out there (and a big champion of rural affairs). Being rude isn’t cool.
I am regularly reminded just how lucky we are to have Dame @andreajenkyns on our team 🙂
