Seems like I picked the right year to publish a religious book - one focusing on justice and decolonizing the western church nonetheless. 👀

It’s sad how the same folks who taught us to sing, “Jesus loves the little children of the world” now choose silence when thousands of little children in Gaza are bombed to death. They are precious in Jesus’ sight too.

I used to be sympathetic to the “man of his times” explanation for those who defended chattel slavery. And then I found myself living among men of my times who ignore, minimize, dismiss, excuse, and cover up for sexual abusers. In both times those who speak truth are ignored.

I’d rather not speak ill of our poor & oppressed neighbours (especially spiritual abuse survivors) than speak ill of the abusive & powerful dead. John MacArthur did way more harm than good - both in his teachings and praxis. Lord have mercy upon those he brought great harm to.
