Ensuring compliance in crofting counties is one of the best ways to ensure Croft availability for folk wanting to actively croft
We are writing to 3,500 crofters who have failed to confirm that they are locally resident and using their croft. If you are one of them please take this seriously. More information and help at the link below. Thank you. crofting.scotland.gov.uk/annual-notice-…
ℹ️☎️ The technical issue with our phone lines has now been resolved. Our apologies for any earlier inconvenience.
It was great to see you Sarah Jane, as always, insightful discussions on farm support, the balance required for land management and strong rural communities. Thanks for taking the time to speak to @CalumRKerr @JohnRedpathSNP and myself
Good to catch up with @JimFairlieLogie & SNP Borders candidates for Holyrood election Calum Kerr & John Redpath on the @ScotLandEstates stand at @BorderUnion show
The U.K. should follow the example of France tonight and recognise the State of Palestine. This is essential for peace. The ceasefire and humanitarian aid must start now.
I welcome the announcement by President Macron that 🇫🇷 will recognise 🇵🇸 in September. This is an important contribution towards implementing the two State solution, which offers the only lasting basis for peace and security for Israelis and Palestinians alike.
There is no and there can never be any justification for deliberately starving a countries people into submission. World leaders must demand with one voice for an immediate ceasefire to allow food and medical aid through to end this suffering.

A fabulous visit to the Tormore Distillery yesterday to discuss the whisky sector and the circularity of the process. Buying Scottish barley, producing Scotch whisky with it’s global reach, then returning pot ale and draff back to the livestock sector is a true circular success

This is such an innovative and important programme, giving young Scots access to outstanding learning which they can take back into their communities, create business and serve rural Scotlands needs for vets services. Well done to @SRUC for all your partnerships with @scotgov 👏
We were pleased to welcome @JimFairlieLogie MSP to our School of Veterinary Medicine and Biosciences. He met with EMT and senior Veterinary Services staff to discuss our new vet training programme and the essential disease surveillance work we deliver under government contract.
The supposed reset we have been working hard to achieve is not aided by misrepresentation from senior Labour Government Ministers
My letter to UK Gov Minister Steve Reed asking him to retract his false statements about the condition of water in Scotland. IWC was able to report we’re in a much better position than rUk with 87% “high” or “good” status. Public ownership works. scottishgov-newsroom.prgloo.com/correspondence…
See this thread to debunk the falsehoods promulgated by James here , and Tory MSP Finlay Carson
Scotland 🏴 Families face being told to eat less meat & farmers to cut sheep and cattle. The Scottish Government’s climate advisers have demanded a 30% drop in meat consumption and a 36% cut in sheep & cattle numbers to hit the 2045 net zero target. dailymail.co.uk/news/article-1…
For all the folk on here trying to use Steve Reeds incorrect assertions re the quality of Scotlands water, see this x.com/gillianmsp/sta…

70% of Scottish business in support of a Scottish visa, yet Westminster block it, aided by Labour in Scotland, doing as they’ve always done, what their London masters tell them
There’s strong support for a Scottish visa from Scottish businesses - which would mean we could recruit workers for our unique needs. ✅ 70% back a Scottish visa. ✅ Most say the Scottish Government understands their needs better than Westminster.👇 heraldscotland.com/news/25324809.…
It was great to be out on the doors today with @SNPKinross members. For all the negative media around @theSNP our support is solid and they’re not buying it.We will continue to work hard for all the people of Scotland not least because no Westminster party does.

Scotland is a nation, and must have the right to decide our own future. 🏴 That’s why we’re putting independence front and centre of our campaign in 2026. 👇
In the coming weeks 12,000 crofters will receive a "Succession Information Pack". We are inviting anyone who no longer works their croft to pass it on to a younger successor. Please don't let our young people down. Vibrant communities are seldom built on an ageing demographic.
This is good news to see the progress continuing.
