Agreed. Now that nuclear weapons are on everyone’s mind again, we need to promote alternative narratives to nuclear deterrence & create a vision of a new security architecture. This is the time to truly shape public opinion & encourage a new generation of nuclear experts.

My thoughts in @ForeignPolicy on what the current war might mean for the future of Iran's nuclear program. foreignpolicy.com/2025/06/16/ira…
From a review of satellite imagery this morning (@planet, @airbus, @Maxar), I still don't see any damage to Iran's Fordow (Qom) uranium enrichment plant. If Israel doesn't have a plan for destroying Fordow, I don't see how any of this is worth. (1/2)
I see @SangerNYT asked why Israel hasn't hit the stockpile of enriched uranium. My understanding is that the hex is stored in the tunnels at Isfahan and Israel hasn't been able to destroy the hard, deeply buried targets. Thread.
Iran’s strategy of possessing a nuclear threshold capability as a deterrent has without question failed one important test, and is likely failing second. 1) It failed to deter a massive military attack against the country and strategic assets (including the nuclear program) 1/
#Iran🧵 1- Iranian lawmakers are mulling whether Iran must exit from the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, the #NPT amid Israel’s breach of all laws. This is as the 10th nuclear scientist of Iran (alongside all his family members) is killed by #Israel.
NTI just launched a new series of regional dialogues to develop innovative ideas for how we can work together to reduce nuclear dangers—starting with a thought-provoking discussion among African officials and experts. Dialogues with Latin America and the Middle East are up…
Another one bites the dust. Third #NPTPrepCom for the 2026 #NPTRevCon is closes this pm without adopting substantive recommendations for the RevCon or the draft decision on strengthening the review process.
Eleventh #NPTRevCon will take place in New York on 27 April - 22 May 2026, #NPTPrepCom decides.

Nuclear war anywhere affects everyone. It cannot be won and must never be fought.
The risks of dangerous escalation between India and Pakistan—two nuclear-armed states—are real. Even a “limited” nuclear conflict could cause a global disaster. 🧵 ⤵️
Honored to be at the #NPTPrepCom with my wonderful @NTI_WMD colleagues Isabelle Williams and Patricia Jaworek. With all that’s going on in the world, it feels good to be working with dedicated and smart women to end #nuclear threats and make the world a better place.
A very lowkey way to announce such a thing, but if followed through this will be the second Russia treaty ally after Kazakhstan joining TPNW
In today's general debate at the #NPTPrepCom, Kyrgyzstan announced that “has made the political decision to join to the TPNW” because they are “committed to ensuring that future generations live without the threat posed by weapons of mass destruction.” 👏🇰🇬
Happening now: @TheELN and @NorwayMFA side event at #NPTPrepCom exploring ways to reduce the salience of nuclear weapons.
