Most of the harm in the world is done by good people, and not by accident, lapse, or omission. It is the result of their deliberate actions.
The Telegraph obit of Ozzy Osborne is a cracking read. Kudos for slipping this little nugget in: telegraph.co.uk/obituaries/202…

Freedom has a marketing problem. We have the greatest product in human history. Individual liberty has created more prosperity, ended more suffering, and unleashed more potential than any idea ever conceived. Yet we're getting destroyed by people promising free stuff while…
From one of the less intelligent fanbots of taxing education. Tampons and teabags are both zero-rated. @edlonguk am I right in thinking you can therefore reclaim input VAT while not raising output VAT? Like, not only zero-rated but subsidised? See also obr.uk/forecasts-in-d…
7 child, don’t turn around and cry poverty when you’re asked to pay a standard tax applied to everything from tampons to tea bags. A growing number of private school parents are now reaching for a new line of defence: “My child has special educational needs. We’re not buying
capx.co/only-private-e… "In education, private schooling should be tax-deductible. For pupils aged between four and 18, there should also be universal access to school vouchers and all school provision should be in the independent sector."
As a feepaying parent, 100pc behind @edfreeuk The key is choice. Whether you pay, home educate, run a free school, or are concerned about what/how state education is delivered... ...we all share the same underlying concern. Parents have a right and duty to choose education.
Look at the information the CNIS will compel parents to provide D) amount of time spent with each parent Ei) names and addresses of anyone involved in providing an education Eiii) postal address of every place the child goes ....it just goes on and on
I have yet to find a pro VATer that dedicates their days to trying to improve state schools. None of them tweet about state schools but you’ll find them on every single private school thread. Those accounts that tweet to improve state education don’t bash private schools.
Conservatives will build the homes families need, but we won’t concrete over every green field to do it.
Wonder if this guy is roomies with any Labour MPs?
The Country Land and Business Association tells Guido: "We congratulate James on his award. To celebrate, I would like to invite him to visit one of the 70,000 farm businesses expected to be permanently damaged by this policy. Once there, I would be happy to introduce him to…
Attrition in the domain that I know in detail is already 16%, so if I was HMT I would be very worried and trying to cover my tracks politically because if this tax gouge ends up costing the taxpayer it's going to bite Starmer very hard because the High Court confirmed it was…
Child with SEN having to leave independent education because of the VAT. No Year 11 place. What was that about educating "our" children @bphillipsonMP
Next: an inquiry into the betrayal of Wat Tyler and the Peasants’ Revolt in 1381. It’s long overdue.
A national inquiry will be held into one of the most violent days of the year-long miners' strike in the 1980s. Home Secretary Yvette Cooper said it will look into the clashes that involved police and miners outside the Orgreave coking plant in Rotherham in 1984…
I was starting to worry that the government was not addressing the real problems in the country, so I’m relieved to hear that today they’ve decided to regulate football and dredge up a fracas from 40 years ago.

"Lord Alli had a spare house. Doesn't everybody have a spare house?" File under "I can't be out of touch, my dad was a toolmaker". This is going to be one of the greats. Remember where you saw this first.
🚨NEW: PM Keir Starmer says there's "lots of housing that can be used" for illegal migrants
In a strong field of dodging answering questions, @bphillipsonMP may have just given the worst one yet. I asked could she tell the house how much the increase in employer National Insurance will cost schools in total over this Parliament? Lord knows what she was talking about.
Labour’s end-of-year school report is dire - “Irrespective of what you think of fee-paying schools, the decision to make them more expensive has been both disingenuous and self-defeating.” @vickygrayson_ @IsabelPat1886 @NeilDotObrien @joenutt_author spectator.co.uk/article/labour…
Real-terms cuts ✅ Teacher nos. down ✅ Ed Tax ✅ Shortfalls for 6th forms ✅ No Ofsted reform ✅ Maintained deficits quadrupled ✅ SEND kids discriminated against ✅ Violent behaviour up ✅ ICT, physics, MFL, Latin & maths support scrapped ✅ I could keep going... Hot air ⬇️⬇️
As the school year draws to a close, I want to say thank you to all of our incredible teachers, support staff, teaching assistants and school leaders. Your dedication to breaking the link between background and success for every child is at the heart of our Plan for Change.
You’re a disgrace, my child is in state school and my wife is a head teacher but what you have done to private schools is disgraceful, those people should have a tax break not an increase.
For anyone in the "Bridget Phillipson isn't a Marxist" camp to read: Breaking the link between family and child, is what she means to do, at any cost. Like the commies. The actual commies. Literally. Thanks @GilesUdy
Communists have been after children since Marx declared war on the family and parental influence over children. The socialist state wants them for their own. Philipson is merely continuing that drive.🧵 x.com/GilesUdy/statu…
"breaking the link between background and success" Parents? Down tools. You are not to support your kids in any way. Apart from being pie-in-the-sky, does anyone else think this is creepy?

Another worry I have about 16 and 17 year olds being allowed to vote is schools being even more politicised. Left wing indoctrination by teachers is not an exaggerated concern. We saw a 12-year-old being sent home for wearing a 🇬🇧 dress on “Culture Day” just this week.
