When you move both your boys out of their flat on the SAME day and into a shared flat together and you move two double mattresses and two pianos and two cricket bags and all their furniture and they finally love you for being a Dad with an old Volvo

Love this from @teacherfeature2 “I think I disagree on this one…” This balances humility, honesty, and specificity: “I think” suggests openness. “I disagree” is clear and respectful. “On this one” signals that you’re not oppositional by nature, just thoughtful in this moment.
🚨NEW BLOG🚨 This blog explores how school leaders can build cultures where diverse views are valued and how disagreement, when done well, can drive learning forward. Shout out to my thought partners on this @clairevh and @olicav 🙌🏼 teacherfeature2.com/2025/07/22/dis…

Unless you know better, you can’t do better. High-quality models of great teaching practice are one of the most important coaching mechanisms. But full models can overwhelm. Check out this week's coaching cut for how, why & when to *model in chunks*! ➡️ bit.ly/4ltVLua

'God has created me to some him some service...he has committed some work to me that he has not committed to another.' Newman. Faith or not, I like the notion that no one else has my context and my relationships (in and out for work) therefore it is for me to care for them.

“Good mentors are transparent in their thinking, and by sharing their own experience and revealing important parts of themselves this provides colour and context to how they lead.” Beautifully written and incredibly wise 👇

Two years on and the Volvo is back! Our boys have bought a place together and the old jalopy successfully moved all their clobber - electric piano, sports gear, and of course bed on top. It may be old and clapped out like their Dad, but at least it’s reliable!

1️⃣8️⃣4️⃣* The highest score by an England wicket keeper in Test history. Mustard.
What a mind and what a hand @olicav
@teacherhead is magnificent in surveying the practical wisdom of Rosenshine's Principles: common sense not commonly applied. His gritty examples, humorously recounted, really get the points home, by-passing the snottiness of those who think they are beyond such daily problems.
Love that @pdcornish76
Treat others as you would wish to be treated. But we are all different. Treat others as they would wish to be treated. Or... Treat others in the way that is going to maximise their chances of flourishing.
I love this Christalla you wise woman x
Ian, your reflection is not just a tribute~it’s a guide. It reminds us to look up, look around & be intentional in both seeking & offering mentorship. And perhaps most poignantly, it’s a reminder not to wait too long to say thank you. So here’s to Dave Henderson—.
