Today I visited a Kindergarten 📚✏️ destroyed in #Irpin during the war in #Ukraine. Brought back to life through renovations supported by a grant from @IOMUkraine and @JPEmbUA, a vital new solar power station has restored a stable learning environment for 85 children.
Businesses in Bucha and Irpin are turning recovery into reality. With IOM grants, small businesses are creating jobs, supplying essential goods & restoring confidence in war-affected communities.

Moved by the determination of communities in Ukraine to rebuild their lives. From small businesses reopening to partnerships driving long-term recovery, their resolve to restore livelihoods and dignity is inspiring. IOM stands firmly alongside Ukraine on this journey.
In Kyiv today with IOM Deputy Director General @LeeSungAh_ we met with Ukraine's Ombudsman @lubinetzs to emphasize IOM's shared commitment to safeguarding the rights of war-affected people and fostering a survivor-centred approach to transitional justice and reparations.
Today, I met with @matzschmale @UN_Ukraine to discuss Ukraine’s evolving needs, IOM’s recovery priorities within UN frameworks, and the importance of the UN in enabling durable solutions in Ukraine’s long-term recovery.
IOM🇲🇩 and @OBShealth launched the first Test Resilience Workshop in Moldova as part of the regional IOM-WHO initiative funded by the European Union🇪🇺 to analyze the impact of the influx of war-related migrants from Ukraine on the national health systems. ➡️bit.ly/3TVMxea
