Andres Rodriguez Zorro leads our forensic work for @ICRC_ua in Ukraine. Using methods such as DNA testing of human remains, Andres and his colleagues help protect the dignity of the deceased, by identifying them and providing information for grieving families.
We visit detainees to ensure that they are being treated humanely. This includes checking that they are being held in acceptable living conditions, can stay in touch with their families, and are being treated under the correct judicial processes. 👇🏽

Today, a staff member at the Red Cross Field Hospital was injured by a stray bullet. Thankfully, he is stable and undergoing further treatment. This incident is unacceptable, and a reminder of the dangers civilians, medical staff, and patients experience every day in Gaza.
