It's all deliciously ironic. A nation like the Philippines that talks about UNCLOS and international law every day is territorializing its SCS claims in the #SouthChinaSea. news.usni.org/2025/07/13/phi…
There is no doubt that the Marcos administration oversimplifies the great power competition. "Currently, small frictions are much favorable than major events in the South China Sea for the US." Yes, the US is stepping up competition with China, but not as the rhythm of Manila
Haha, look at this. The statement from the Philippines looks like the PLA has surrounded Manila, demanding that the Filipinos must surrender within 24 hours. "No, we don't yeild!" "We are Filipinos!" In fact, this statement only indicates that they will continue to harass…
SCS Arbitration ruling VS Kalayaan Islands claim. In order to enforce the ruling, the Philippine new maritime zone act effectively waived the Kalayaan's claim, which means that the PH has given up 70,000 km² of sea area and sovereignty over some features of Kalayaan's claim.
I think that the Chinese Navy has never seen the French Navy as an adversary or a competitor. If there is no problem with this report, It is funny and unreliable that the French Admiral regards the Chinese Navy as a competitor. navalnews.com/naval-news/202…
China "is asserting itself more aggressively in its backyard while also pushing well beyond longstanding geographical limits of its military"

According to the continuous observations of @SCS_PI in the last 7 years, the U.S. Military in the Western Pacific has reached Its peak in peaceful time. youtu.be/FejN_u7PtPg?si… via @YouTube
Has the Japanese Ministry of Defense also become so unprofessional? Where is the high seas in the #EastChinaSea?

In order to clarify the facts, it is better to publish the time and coordinates of the accused incident, otherwise there is a suspicion of hype. After all, the maneuverability and situational awareness of ISR aircraft are superior to warships, and China also has no reason to…

"Vietnam’s current wave of reclamation is unprecedented in scale and speed, constructing military facilities on various features. Although the pace has slowed, there are no signs of cessation" scspi.org/en/dtfx/new-ph…
The South China Sea is the most open sea in the world: military forces from both regional and external countries conduct over 20,000 ship-days and more than 30,000 aircraft sorties annually, along with hundreds of large-scale drills and exercises. scspi.org/en/yjbg/report…
China has never had unrestricted approaching to the territorial waters and airspace of the United States and Australia.
4. At this point, I must say that I think it is a bit rich of China to complain about Australia spying on China from its EEZ when China does the same to Australia and the US. It seems to be a case of double standards on the part of China. sg.news.yahoo.com/finance/news/c…
"harass naval exercises" and "within close range of China's airspace" are just two accusations based on different perspectives, which may be simultaneous but not contradictory. As I see, no change but complementary between these two China's statements. abc.net.au/news/2024-05-0…
This would only happen if the MH-60R Seahawk was unusually close to Chinese airspace or offshore platforms, or if the Chinese were conducting exercises. Moreover, the encounter appears to have taken place at night, so there is also the possibility of miscalculation.
Do you have a coordinates for what happened? The Yellow Sea is too narrow, and "waters near South Korea" is not an accurate statement. abc.net.au/news/2024-05-0…
This kind of unbalanced statement is of no use or significance, other than reinforces Beijing's perception that the United States is behind everything and exacerbates Manila's miscalculation of the situation. state.gov/u-s-support-fo…
I'm just curious, how did @AsiaMTI determine that all these ships were maritime militias.
China’s maritime militia made headlines last year, but what was the full scope of its 2023 South China Sea operations? Using satellite imagery, AMTI tracked the militia at 10 locations and detected an unprecedented spike at Mischief Reef. Read more here: cs.is/3US2hjW
