Having all kinds of fun on social media, so let’s keep it going with personalized messages on Cameo. You can find me at cameo.com/rosey54. As a great philosopher once said, “Why not?’
Don’t worry. I can confirm that they will wear the classic, traditional, perfect, pinstripe uniforms.
I certainly hope the Mets don’t plan on wearing their City Connect uniforms tomorrow on David Wright’s number retirement day.
Look, when I break 100 (not often) I’m happy, but even good golfers have to look at this and wonder if Fred Couples has the most beautiful golf swing ever. If I (we?) could only develop a tempo and a slow heartbeat golf might become something other than a cure for a good mood. 😉
Fred Couples swing through the years. As smooth as it gets. 🧈
A couple of questions. Were their signatures taken off of checks that they signed? William J. Smith? Robert Bourne? And if it’s a 1979-80 playoff program, what is Dave Lewis doing there, unless it’s a repurposed regular season program? These are deep questions which need answers.
1979-80 #isles playoff program cover featuring all player’s autograph facsimiles and the OG “Eat’M Up Islanders” sign Can we please bring back game day programs????
Look at that coconut. Straight out of BALCO.
The Mets have not lost a game since the legend himself Pablo Sanchez stepped into the building 👀
This was one of those days when many of us felt that a piece of our youth officially ended. That’s what was running through my mind during the entirety of the ceremony. It’s a profound feeling that many of you might have experienced on David Wright Day.
7/24/1988 The Mets retire Tom Seaver’s number 41 and induct him into the team’s Hall of Fame. The Franchise becomes the third Met to have his number retired.
That’s an easy one.
What would you say is the greatest baseball moment of your lifetime? Not your favourite. Please quote
Thanks. I hope I didn’t spend too much time dwelling on that but I was so struck by the sight of that young boy so totally engrossed in the game, loving every minute at the ballpark and clearly thrilled to share it all with his Dad. It really took me back. Such special memories.
@HowieRose Just listened to your description of the father and son at the game. Thank you for the reminder that beauty and wonderful moments can still be found at the ballpark; at any ballpark.
Thank you. I enjoyed your work on “I’ve Got a Secret!” 😉

Mets fans don’t like Chase Utley. I get it. He beat their brains out for years, but most of the animus stems from the “Tejada play”. It was certainly infuriating, but whatever you think of him, this is an (apparently) honest, well thought out answer and I respect that.
One of our resident Mets fans confronted Chase Utley about his infamous slide @PardonMyTake
I play an extremely relaxed game.
Thoughts on these “relaxed” rules of golf? ⛳️😲
Well, someone has to model for those shirts.
You want to take close up with the wildlife? My dog sitter took this video on the cross street from where I live….
To quote Archie Bunker, “Levine and Shirley”.
Can you name this TV Series 📺 from just this shot? Hmm 🤔 ?¿
11:20 this morning. Lines already forming to get into the parking lots. Special day lies ahead. Our radio pre game show begins on @metsradio880 at 3 o’clock, and of course, we will carry all of the pre game ceremonies. Have fun.

Do yourself a favor if you’re going to Citi Field today. Try to be in your seats by about 3:15 and if you can, take mass transit. This day has been a long time coming, and we’re all excited for what promises to be a David Wright love fest. Enjoy, as Number 5 joins the pantheon.
I wouldn’t know.
@HowieRose @MetsBooth hitting it 'right on the screws' is really a golf term right? #LGM #Mets
How can you not see the difference? The All Star Game is an utterly meaningless exhibition. The shootout is a regular season monstrosity. The free runner rule became necessary because of the ridiculous number of pitchers used in every game.
Says a guy who hates the shootout to determine hockey games. What’s wrong with playing baseball. Manfred doesn’t have the patience to watch a 17 inning game?
I get strokes from him.
I'm just imagining the fact that this Orangutan has no idea to where he's going. He's just there, driving a golf car, with a serious face.
