Targeting the Hippo pathway in cancer nature.com/articles/s4157… This new Review discusses emerging Hippo pathway-targeted therapies for cancer, particularly those that target TEAD DNA binding proteins and their interaction with the YAP/TAZ transcription co-activators
Pleased to share our review in @NatRevDrugDisc. 20+ years after the Hippo pathway was discovered in Drosophila, the first targeted therapies are in clinical trials for cancer and heart disease. 🙏 to co-author Tracy Tang from Vivace Tx. #TEADinhibitors rdcu.be/et2NL
The fruit fly is not simply an annoying pest — it's a versatile model organism with a rich history in science. Read our #UnusualLabmates story on fruit flies: wi.mit.edu/unusual-labmat…
Check out our new #proteomic method to site-specifically quantify UFMylation! We applied the approach to look at human skeletal muscle biopsies from #ALS. A great collaboration with @CellSignal and many others... A little summary below... biorxiv.org/content/10.110…

Say whaaat!?? 👇👇👇ever wanted to visit Australia & see great science?? ‘We are excited to announce that the next Hunter Meeting will take place June 2nd-5th 2025 at the Rydges Resort, Hunter Valley’ @HunterDevCell It’s worth the long haul flight, I promise.
Happy to share our manuscript that demonstrates the HP1 alpha monomer-dimer transition to open and compact chromatin. Thanks to all of our collaborators @HarveyHippoLab @Liz_Hinde_ @MAF_Dawson @rhyscienceallan @charles_bell92 academic.oup.com/nar/advance-ar…
The @HarveyHippoLab is using their knowledge of an ancient signalling pathway to find new treatments for #mesothelioma, a devastating #cancer that has few effective treatments and a very poor prognosis. Read more👇petermac.org/about-us/news-…
Our annual @PeterMacRes Computational Biology Research Sprint is underway 🏃🏼♀️. 60 computational biologists from @PeterMacCC working on the theme of spatial transcriptomics this year

Congratulations @KatMitchell_Sci on this beautiful story on the Hippo and TNF/JNK pathways and epithelial tumour suppression. Great work by you and the whole team @PeterMacCC @MonashBDI
🧵(2/2)The research revealed mechanisms by which mesothelioma cells are targeted by TEAD inhibitors and how to make them more effective. To read more see @emboreports. @MonashUni embopress.org/doi/full/10.10…
🧵(1/2) 20+years of researching the Hippo Pathway has led @HarveyHippoLab to discover that combining TEAD inhibitors with a drug that targets the RAS pathway may be more effective at destroying #mesothelioma tumours.
Kieran Harvey @HarveyHippoLab and co-workers @PeterMacCC @MonashBDI @UniMelb identify mechanisms by which mesothelioma cells respond to TEAD palmitoylation inhibitors. -> MAPK pathway targeted therapies enhance the anti-tumor activity of TEAD inhibitors. embopress.org/doi/full/10.10…
