Are you applying more nutrients than your turf needs? This study explored how developing regional MLSN guidelines can reduce fertilizer inputs without sacrificing turf quality 👇
Can someone please set me straight on these weeds. I’ve seen so much conflicting information regarding tropical, broadleaf, and plantain signalgrass, and Alexandergrass. Different books calling things different names. What’s going on with Urochloa?

‘El Toro’ zoysiagrass behind Julian C. Miller Hall at LSU. No irrigation, no herbicides, no fertilizer for years. Just mowed once weekly. I’ve seen it eaten up with large patch in Arkansas, but it looks great as low-input turf in South Louisiana.

After years of research, the verdict is in: There's no difference between #turfgrass wetting agents marketed as "penetrants" and "retainers" for sand-based putting greens. Read more about it at aaes.uada.edu/news/turfgrass…. @AginArk @ArkansasTurf @Doug_Karcher @uarkhort @USGA…
Granular Stayguard (flumioxazin) left, nontreated on the right. Near 100% post sedge control from a granular application. Plus crabgrass and doveweed activity. Very unique, useful product.
Does anyone have issues with TurfAnalyzer and their university's computers or networks? Any way around this? Any words of wisdom are appreciated.
What does a grass type/variety look like at your course, under your particular conditions? If you have a renovation 2027 or beyond, you owe it to your club to try a test plot or two. Ideally, 3+ years out, so that you can evaluate performance after a couple seasons.
The University of Arkansas Turfgrass Field Day is scheduled for August 6th. Pre-registration is open. We hope to see you there! uada.formstack.com/forms/turfgras…
Crabgrass not being controlled by the normal products? Might be you’re dealing with signalgrass instead. This patch never went fully dormant, just off colored during the winter
Congratulations to @tyler_mccool and team @TPCLouisiana The staff and volunteers flawlessly produced excellent conditions, great food and good times in New Orleans for the @ZurichClassic @jimabate
Fraise mowing underway as @VT_Groundscrew & @CarolinaGreenCo prep Worsham Field for the @Metallica concert. If you’re a current or prospective @Virginia_Tech #Hokie interested in learning about the @FieldExperts industry, I encourage you to join our #turfgrass science program!

Poa happy to invade the bare soil beneath these crepe myrtles. Much less, if any, in surrounding St. Aug. Dense turf coverage remains a great defense against weeds. Wouldn’t be S. Louisiana without some waterlogged soil in the background for good measure.

With a record 545M rounds played in 2024, course maintenance is more important than ever 👏 Make sure workers see you, be patient, and always yell “fore” when needed!
Be patient, make sure workers see you before hitting and always yell “fore!" if a ball is heading toward someone. Our @USGAGrnSection has some helpful tips for this season.
Great talk about tournament agronomy from @AlexJStuedemann at the @LMGCSASUPTS chapter meeting @TPCLouisiana

In case you were wondering what a bahiagrass putting green would look like.
