Ancient civilizations, dead languages, history, poetry, homeschooling. Red Tory. Anti-continentalist.
DM me if you want private Latin, ancient Greek, or Biblical Hebrew classes. They are private videocall sessions 2-3 times per week plus *daily* homework. The fee is low (almost nominal) because I teach for my enjoyment, but since the price is so low, I want only serious students.
Not necessarily my opponents, but public behaviors and even some speech that run contrary to social cohesion, the public good, and civic virtue? Absolutely, I would censor that. Again, I am conservative and tory in a classical sense.
When I say "conservative," I mean traditionalist conservatism and high/red toryism. When I say "liberal," I mean both the classical liberalism of folks like Locke and Paine, but also of Rawls. Most rightwingers are liberals of the Locke and Paine variety, not conservatives.
I say this - even stress this - all the time. x.com/TristinHopper/…
You never meet people who say they're "religious but not spiritual."
It is annoyingly hypocritical when fellow social conservatives play the "rights" and free speech card. We know damn well we would censor the things we don't like and think are harmful to society if we had the power to do so.
FWIW, as a classic tory and traditional conservative, I do not conceive of rights a natural, inherent, or even necessarily individual as liberals do. I conceptualize them as historical and contextual, ladden with duties, and providing social cohesion and communal good. 2/2
I suppose my Christianity is just the snooty kind. x.com/NatashaMontrea…
Music is VERY much part of the Christian tradition. From chanting, to hymns. From organs to congregational singing. From gospel music to Christian Rock. From Handel's Messiah to Amazing Grace. People who don't know this, know little about Christianity.
One side of my family used to ruthlessly raid what became Vancouver. They would slay the male residents, burn the longhouses, carry off the loot, and enslave the women. The other half of the family is mostly British.

Call a Christian rock concert (and an overtly political one at that) a "worship event" as much as you like, but it will still be a rock concert. x.com/Graham_Mark_E/…
It would be less confusing if these neo-protestants had "worship events" that are actually part of the Christian tradition and didn't deliberately look so secular. Guitars and cowboy hats? I mean, what ever happened to things like Evensong? Or just normal sacred music?
Sure now there's a reasoned, calm interjection for you.
May God have mercy on your soul.
Too many on the Canadian right are enamoured with the worst bits of America. This said, the Canadian left imports the worst pathologies of progressive America and thinks they are being patriotic by doing so. Truly a case of the pot and the kettle.
Most Canadian conservative social media messages sound like they were ghostwritten by U.S. Republicans — rage over substance, outrage over outcomes. Canada’s edge is boring competence. Import their chaos, and you import their decline.
He thinks our Senators are elected? He knows nothing about another country's government systems but has the audacity to go to that country and tell them how to do things. The arrogance is staggering.

We don't need anybody to "stick up" for us. Why are there certain types of Elbows Up types on the left determined to tweet stuff that makes us look weak and pathetic? Trump supporters must love it.

I have this theory that deontologists are secretly evil. One day, I will flesh it out. x.com/Graham_Mark_E/…
Ethical theory is only necessary if one hasn't cultivated the virtues. 😎
