Seeing this shout out from @Noahpinion today was very cool! I'm super proud of what we're doing. "While everyone else screams and fights, they’re just quietly working to think of how we could have a country with more stuff for everyone. That’s inspiring!" ❤️

A social safety net that transfers resources from working-age people to non-workers makes sense, but within the category of non-workers we are massively overweight on "old people" relative to "kids and their caretakers."
"I support building cars in my district - but we also negotiate for them to cure cancer, get you concert tickets, make excellent cappuccino..."
Yep. Harris wasn’t perfect but she doesn’t get nearly enough credit for limiting the damage of the truly terrible hand Biden left her.
quite literally saved 4 US senate seats
Thrilled to announce today @RepScottPeters, @RepBlakeMoore, @brianschatz, & @Jim_Banks are reintroducing the bipartisan Build More Housing Near Transit Act! The bill protects taxpayers & transit riders alike from federal transit grants to cities that ban housing near transit👇
The @NiskanenCenter has been at the forefront of analyzing ways to do this! One way is through the Build More Housing Near Transit Act! We urge members of Congress to support this legislation, & we stand ready to work to address this crucial need! niskanencenter.org/build-more-hou…
I love this genre of tweet that assumes *work itself* was somehow invented by capitalism. You do not want to be free from capitalism; you want to be independently wealthy!
You don’t hate Mondays.. you hate being exploited by capitalism
Repealing the chassis rule would be a huge win! Would love to see this happen. This is also a terrific in-depth explainer on it.
New: A 50-year-old federal rule has stifled affordable housing. Congress may finally, at long last, do something about it vox.com/policy/420254/…
This video would’ve gone down much better with a “here is my house, I really like it!” But the “f*ck you money” tagline and status-obsessed bragging strongly invites everyone to point out all the ways in which their wealth doesn’t make them special or better.
Fuck you money
most people want border enforcement and don't want grandmas who came from Iran in the 70s brutalized, or green card holders' families falsely told they are dead, or legal immigrants tortured in CECOT

The most successful thing in Britain is the Premier League. The most globalized thing in Britain is the Premier League. That is not a coincidence.
The zero-sum trap: the more people believe that wealth, status, and well-being are zero-sum, the more they back policies that make the world zero-sum. marginalrevolution.com/marginalrevolu…
This isn’t terribly surprising. The explosion of far-left antisemitism (on top of the far right’s antisemitism) has been shocking and terrifying. I feel really bad for what Jewish college students have had to go through.
These political shifts among Ivy League Jewish students are remarkable:
Right. This is why the Boston model, baseball and basketball/hockey venues that both hosts lots of other events too, is right way to do sports downtown.
Because an NFL stadium hosts typically 8 or 9 games a year, and so putting a public transit line to it, or building it somewhere with good public transit access, would be absurdly wasteful.
The difference between Old Money and New Money is that: Old Money is performatively inclusive but casually exclusive whereas…. New Money is performatively exclusive but casually inclusive.
