To assess how the gambling industry should be reformed to prevent harm. Formerly know as GRH APPG. Secretariat: @UK_DGA
Keeping up with this year's Premier League season? Odds are, the gambling industry are too. 👇 Gambling adverts have no place in football sponsorship. It's time for a wholesale ban, to protect children and young people from the harm it can bring. @EndGamblingAds @the_bigstep
The APPG on Gambling Reform has today launched a new inquiry into the Future of Gambling Regulation. The inquiry will be wide-ranging and conclude with a report setting out recommendations to Government. 📩 Submit Evidence by 12th September: [email protected]

Yesterday, the APPG heard from witnesses on the proliferation of B3 machines and Adult Gaming Centres. @DCMS must reform the regulations to prevent harm. Liberalisation of the 80/20 must be abandoned, and 'aim to permit' must be changed, empowering councils.

"We can stop a fish and chip shop opening next to a school, but not an Adult Gaming Centre next to a homeless shelter." Our Harlesden councillors spoke to the @GR_APPG about the powers councils and communities need to have a say over their high streets 👇 #StopTheSpread
Thank you to @BeccyCooper4Lab, Officer of the Gambling Reform APPG, for continuing to raise awareness of the need to treat gambling as a public health issue in the @thefabians latest pamphlet.

The APPG is concerned by the BBC's investigation that has found serious breaches of self-exclusion rules by AGCs in Portsmouth. The Gambling Commission must take urgent action to hold operators accountable and ensure that robust self-exclusion protections are properly enforced.

Yesterday, the APPG heard from witnesses on the need for Government to urgently act and deliver the Gambling Ombudsman that consumers were promised. Entrusting the industry to lead this process has failed. @DCMS and @GamRegGB must act now to protect consumers.

Pleased to hear @josephpowell and @naushabah_khan ask @DCMS what steps are being taken to reduce gambling harms. The case for reform is clear - we are experiencing record-levels of harm caused by gambling. We need urgent action from Government.
This is a very important campaign. As the MP for Brent East I am working hard with @Brent_Council and @10DowningStreet to ensure that Councils and constituents have a say in what their high streets look like. I'm tired of having so many betting shops.
Councils and mayors urge government to give them power to block betting shops itv.com/news/2025-04-0…
Brent has joined forces with 40 UK councils, mayors, and organisations, calling for urgent gambling reform. With more and more betting shops taking over our high streets, the time is now to put power back in the hands of local leaders and their communities. #BeatTheBookies
