Het klopt dat er nog veel onderzoek nodig is voor een behandeling gericht op oorzaken, maar er is al een flinke evidence based trukendoos om symptomen te verlichten. Als je niks meer kan is elk beetje verbetering keihard gewenst.

Adding to this, we'll never be able to subgroup correctly if we don't spend more time on eliciting signs and symptoms. Your biomarker is only as strong as the PROMs you use.

If only they were this careful with therapies that the patients warn about because it harms them (ie GET/cbt if you have PEM). But then suddenly caution isn't needed. Weird how that works. Almost as if it isn't about protecting patients at all.

Ik snap echt niet dat hier niet meer ophef over is. Hoe ons land niet alles op alles zet deze kinderen te helpen. #LongCovid Onderschat de impact van niks doen niet, zowel in ziektebeeld en ernst, als dat dit zo’n onwijs belangrijke jaren zijn voor de ontwikkeling van een kind.
