Absolutely not. This league is built on tradition and history (financially as well). Might as well chop the Cup from the top down.
The Chicago Blackhawks were a feeder team for the Detroit Red Wings because Norris owned both of them and preferred the Wings over the Hawks. I can’t take the Original 6 era seriously when shenanigans like that occurred. The stacked talent argument doesn’t fly.

There’s never been a Panthers player named a finalist for the Norris. If that was the criteria — for them — nobody gets their jersey retired. They don’t win two cups without him.
