Barkov, Ekblad, Tkachuk and Bobrovsky are locks in my opinion. I think multiple guys are well on their way if they keep current form. Definitely come a long way since having only one for sure retired guy (Luongo).
When all is said and done, we could end up seeing several current Panthers players with their numbers hanging in the rafters. But who? How many would make the cut? We'll examine in the coming days, and we start with the obvious choice @TheHockeyNews ⬇️ thehockeynews.com/nhl/florida-pa…

There’s never been a Panthers player named a finalist for the Norris. If that was the criteria — for them — nobody gets their jersey retired. They don’t win two cups without him.
The panthers have only been a club for what - 30ish years? Ekblad has never been even nominated for a Norris. Is this really the bar you want to set for your franchise - stick around as a very good but not great player for long enough, your number gets retired?
I’d think Florida has to go Bure here. You already have Bobrovsky, so you wouldn’t go Luongo. Jay Bouwmeester was another stud in the wrong Panthers era.
Who are you bringing back to your team? 🤔

A Tuesday at 5pm! Embarrassing! Can you imagine any league doing that to the reigning 2x champion!
