Jackson Blake, signed 8x$5.6M by CAR, is a young playmaking two-way winger who despite being pretty small and not that fast showed some real promise as a forechecker and passer in small minutes with the Canes as a rookie.
Blake had a nice rookie season starting on the fourth line & earning more minutes. Showed great vision & playmaking along with being a dog on the forecheck. Getting more confidence as a shooter is what I'd like to see next because he deferred to his linemates a little too much.
