Had an incredible time at the #GothicCrossroads conference @gothicmmu over the last few days! It was wonderful to listen to such an impressive variety of scholars, as well as to present my own research on Matthew Gregory Lewis’s Gothic women. Roll on the next conference! 👻
they said guillermo del toro made a film about the hubris of man, using the metaphorical 'monster' to explore the callousness of humanity and i said oh i'm sure. 'only monsters play God' has got to be one of the most politically clear-eyed taglines i've seen for a film in years.
