Today, we have changed our profile picture to mark the 80th birthday of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, who remains in detention. The 🇬🇧 calls for her immediate release, alongside all those arbitrarily detained in #Myanmar.
It’s hard to overstate the way rights & freedoms have been destroyed by the Taliban. At @UN_HRC this week I met brave Afghan women working to highlight the situation: many women essentially prisoners in their homes, no access to income. We cannot overlook this awful repression.
