Yet another @thameswater leak on Townley Rd today. How many have there been this year and last year? It is hard to keep count of the number of leaks and the number of bonus payments to Thames Water executives who manage this mess.

This is exactly what many of the local residents groups are like in Dulwich. Blind to the dangers and obstructions caused by pavement parking but like hawks when they see a bike somewhere on a pavement.

Day 4: Massive leak on East Dulwich Grove getting worse. Water now cascading right across the road and down both sides. Residents of neighbouring streets have called @thameswater to report that they have no water, and been told that repairs are underway. THIS IS A LIE.

Day 3: 000s of litres per minute still surging from the pavement and cascading down East Dulwich Grove. Some local residents now have no water. Still no evidence of any works by @thameswater to halt the flow. Notice says works will end 9/7/25, but when will they begin?

Your not-so-infrequent reminder that you are almost 100x more likely to be killed or seriously injured by a motorist driving on a pavement than you are by a cyclist riding on a pavement.

Another car crash in Dulwich, this morning on Half Moon Lane. We only post about a fraction of the incidents on our roads. In London there are 23,000 collisions each year, resulting in 3500 seriously injured and over 100 fatalities. Where is the media outrage at this?

To put this into context, since 2016, 30 people have been killed in collisions involving cyclists. In that time over 17,000 have been killed in collisions involving drivers. I don't have a problem with the new law, but let's not think this will reduce deaths on our roads.

Delays on the A205 due to a crash and total closure of the road near Forest Hill. Diversions are in place. Vehicle removed but a damaged lamppost is about to fall and destruction left all along the pavement. This road has a 20mph limit.
