Wow. Wonder if the top editors at the paper have noticed or care?
So.. officially, I'm the last Black staff columnist left in the Washington Post's opinion section.

Stephen Colbert says the gloves are off in his first new monologue since news broke of his cancelation, dropping an f-bomb at Trump (really). WATCH: loom.ly/3TAfF9Y

Never looked at it that way. But the man has a point…
Jon Stewart been ride or die. This is the political satire equivalent of C-Murder 'Down for my Nggas'
WATCH Jon Stewart’s epic rant against CBS for canceling Stephen Colbert and his message to companies capitulating to Trump. “Sack the f—- up!” loom.ly/yIiH0hk

I bet! I forgot how funny it was when Dave got pissed at the network!
Oh, this is a must-watch for me and I might get some acid flashbacks from them 🤣
Love. This. David Letterman’s YouTube channel posts a series of clips from his Late Show featuring Dave ragging on CBS. Wonder why he’s doing that now? loom.ly/IhEET0k

Had a great time talking on Colbert’s cancellation with Larry Mantle, legendary host of LAist’s Air Talk, going over why, even if his show was losing $40 million a year, the timing of the announcement raises suspicions. LISTEN: loom.ly/qyO9vy4
Tampa Bay Times reports Florida airports are scrambling after the state’s attorney general issued a letter warning them to comply with a state law that bans weather modification — a thing which does not exist and is the stuff of conspiracy theories. Sigh. loom.ly/PVgiHmU
Interesting…
About 8 in 10 Americans, 79%, say immigration is “a good thing” for the country today, an increase from 64% a year ago and a high point in the nearly 25-year trend. Only about 2 in 10 U.S. adults say immigration is a bad thing right now, down from 32% last year.…
Excellent story…

Cokie Roberts died six years ago. So you clearly have no idea what NPR actually covers or sounds like.
It’s been almost 9 years since I switched off and stopped donating to @NPR. When it went full-on “Clinton Foundation” / “Hillary’s Health” / “Butter Emails” to do its bit to install Trump in 2016, I left. Btwn Hil-Hating hobgoblin Cokie Roberts and Both Sides Inskeep… f ‘em.
Here's my Substack essay on what we all lose when satirists like Stephen Colbert get cancelled and columnists at the Washington Post and LA Times are corralled by wealthy ideologues: loom.ly/YEXVHco

What Letterman does for Netflix is very different and much less regularly schedule that a typical late night show. Netflix has already tried topical shows with Hasan Minhaj and Chelsea Handler in addition to John Mulaney. If Colbert did work with Netflix, I would bet it would be…

I spent most of yesterday speaking on CBS' decision to cancel Stephen Colbert's Late Show on NPR, CNN, MSNBC, PBS' NewsHour and elsewhere. Here's an essay on my Substack w/more thoughts on what we all lose when satirists and columnists are under threat. loom.ly/nPGftZE
Hope u had a great show, Scott!
In studio, caffeinated, and ready to leap upon the news. Today’s show is for all the fine people at work in public broadcasting. Whatever happens, we continue to work for all of the American public. Thanks for the opportunity.
