Despite the prolific NDP spending healthcare continues to decline. The NDP does not deliver results. "In short, debt has grown much faster under Premier David Eby than under any of his recent predecessors" biv.com/news/commentar…
It seems peak Liberal to spend an entire election stating "it is time to build" and the first thing getting built is ferries in China financed entirely by Canadian taxpayers.

It is both surprising and disappointing how easy it is to corrupt Cdn. democracy while our Fed. Govt. sits by and does nothing. Assumably because this is targeting their political opponent. Defending Cdn. democracy should be a non-partisan priority.
The Battle River–Crowfoot by-election ballot, where Poilievre hopes to re-enter Parliament, now has over 100 candidates and counting due to the efforts of a controversial election protest group. junonews.com/p/poilievre-ca…
As someone who reads a fair amount of Cdn. media daily it is disappointing to see such a clear anti-Alberta bias from certain journo's and pundits.
I have no doubt this was a challenging situation for MLA Parmar. His NDP Govt. put him into a terrible situation given how badly they handled this. I also believe it would be wise of MLA Parmar to recognize it was public outrage that forced the NDP to do the right thing.
@rparmar_BC
Today may not be perfect beach weather here in the south Okanagan but the conditions are perfect to hit a local farmers market or fruit stand and support our local farmers!
During my time as an MLA I was fortunate to sit on both sides of the Legislature - meaning in govt. as well as opposition. When a govt. is performing as poorly as this NDP one is, it is important to have an effective official opposition. Thankfully we have that here in BC.

Restoring funding so that a terminally ill child has a higher quality of life during the time left with her family is quite the hill to resign on. Good riddance to these four.
NEW - 4 members of BC's "expensive drugs for rare diseases committee" have resigned in protest of the BC government's decision to restore drug funding for terminally-ill 10-yr-old Charleigh Pollock. There are approx 50 members on committee + sub committees.
Well said.
No way was Ravi Parmar there “from the very first day” for Charleigh’s family. This is a ridiculous attempt to save face. The family had to fight tooth and nail—and it was the community, not their MLA, who showed up. Don’t rewrite history. #bcpoli #IStandWithCharleigh
A wise leader should always be open to finding ways to improve legislation. An arrogant leader is not.
Prime Minister Mark Carney tells Chiefs there will be no amendments to Bill C-5 in closed door talks. aptnnews.ca/?p=273935
There was a time when journalists used to ask important questions like this one.
This week in Hamilton, the PM says he will target cheap foreign steel imports from China. Where does this leave the Chinese state owned shipyard built ferries that are being subsidized by 🇨🇦fed financing? They contain the subsidized Chinese steel that he says we need to target:
There was always "medical expert" disagreement on this, as there often is. That is not new. It was always clear what the correct course of action was and I am greatly relieved for this family who is going through an unimaginably challenging time that they now have this news.
NEW - BC gov has restored drug coverage for Charleigh Pollock, the terminally ill 10-yr-old girl from Langford. Health Minister Josie Osborne informed the family tonight. Says it's not acceptable Charleigh is suffering during a disagreement from medical experts about the drug.
PM Carney has a large Liberal caucus with some talented people in it. He is sending a clear message that only the MP who advocated for a suspected terrorist to be admitted to Canada is the MP he wants as his Public Safety Minister. This is absurd & undermines public office.
#BREAKING: Carney ends his silence on his public safety minister who was found to have written two letters in support of a TERRORIST immigrating to Canada: "He has my confidence."
Eby and the NDP will always look after their own. This is the most self-serving NDP government in a long time.
Everyone else in the public service is cutting budgets, freezing hiring and laying ppl off, but @Dave_Eby's office continues to grow + hire unencumbered by those rules. @Josie_Osborne's chief of staff Andrew Cuddy is now @Dave_Eby's new "director of policy and delivery."
Eby and the NDP will always look after their own. Everyone else not so much.
When ten-year-old Charleigh Pollock needed help and her family begged for life-enhancing treatment, the NDP said “NO!” Is this what “universal healthcare” means in David Eby’s BC?
I am beyond words that Eby has done nothing with his Health Minister. How much worse must things get before Eby will recognize there is a very serious problem here?
NEW - @Dave_Eby shuffles his cabinet - 2 new faces, 3 demotions. - Osborne survives as health minister - Diana Gibson demoted from jobs to citizens' services. - Ravi Kahlon moved from housing to jobs/economic growth - Garry Begg demoted from solicitor general to parl sec Surrey…
With the greatest respect Minister, please explain how this fits in:
We’re strengthening Canada’s steel industry: curbing foreign imports with tightened TRQs and 25% tariffs on steel melted and poured in China, investing $1B in producers/workers, and mandating procurement to source domestic so that nation building projects are made with 🇨🇦 steel.
This is as close as you get to an admission of failure from a sitting govt. While we can hope Eby makes a sincere effort to clean house and make some significant changes, we will likely not see the level of change that is badly needed.
NEW - @Dave_Eby is expected to shuffle his cabinet tomorrow.
We are seeing the same thing at the Summerland slide zone on Hwy 97. The NDP promised work would resume in the spring and so far nothing. This suggests we may lose an entire work season. Why?
The NDP continue to neglect critical infrastructure in the Okanagan. Westside Rd is one of BC’s deadliest highways. Landslides, wildfires, and hazardous conditions keep putting drivers at risk — while recent closures show just how fragile this road is. I wrote to the NDP…
Despite all of this NDP spending BC healthcare is in a crisis, crime and public safety remain ignored, infrastructure is falling behind and forestry has been devastated. We do have a West Annex full of expensive NDP advisers though.
B.C. Premier David Eby has overseen by far the fastest growth of per-person inflation-adjusted provincial government debt (annual average) over the 1969 to 2024 period. Learn more: fraserinstitute.org/studies/debt-a… #bcpoli
