The thing that’s so funny about avatar stans is that they absolutely flip for the most mid twists or scenes or tropes that they would probably mock if it was in any other movie.

When Clark is written as saving a dog and a squirrel in a scene where he’s fighting an animal that was set loose by someone (no malevolent intent) which he says out loud he wants to subdue without killing, how is it possible that people are too stupid to understand why?
About #Superman & squirrels: If I dont see him saving a cute critter, I wont think "Oh, he doesnt care", I will think "Oh, no critter was written into needing help." Like, its cute, yes, but its not CLARK being particularly extra-caring, its writers adding "aww"s. Am I crazy?
Last night, I got the chance to see The Fantastic Four! It was really good! Great acting, amazing visuals, and lots of heart. Galactus was terrifying and this cast had great chemistry. Johnny, Sue, and Galactus carried this movie HARD! I’d give it a 8/10.
The everlasting hate for Wan and Jenkins can only be explained by the fact that they made movies that were less divisive. For all they crow about Snyder being a provocateur, at the end of the day they’re jealous of the acclaimed movies made adjacent him.

When you pick one fanbase as particularly nasty or vindictive, it’s only because you’ve become the target of the ire. Last Jedi fans will say this exact thing about Star Wars fans. Take a step back from being attacked and you’ll easily agree they’re all bad.
I’d suggest, having dealt with “Superman” fans, it’s not that they’re all bad and it’s not that the ones who are bad are uniquely bad. But goodness are the ones that are bad - and are loud - as bad as any of the worst of any fans, amplified by a weird moral superiority complex.
