Relief is long overdue for neighbors on 4022 Georgia Ave, who have endured unsafe building conditions through no fault of their own. Thank you to @DCAttorneyGen for making clear: DC won't tolerate illegal construction. We must strengthen oversight to protect homeowners.
HOUSING WINS: We won appeals in two important housing cases in DC. We successfully defended rent refunds for 2,500 tenants at Marbury Plaza in Ward 8. And we upheld an order requiring developers to fix faulty construction that left a Ward 4 condo building to sway in the wind.
Marbury Plaza, now known as Langston Views, was sold and renamed earlier this year. wusa9.com/article/news/l…
Two common issues our Mediation team takes on is getting the AC turned back on or the water reconnected for DC residents on hot days like today. 🌡️🚰 If your AC is broken — or if your water is being disconnected — call us at 202-442-9828.
Heat advisory today as it'll feel like 105-109. We're giving it a 1/10 on the daily digit and hanging out next to the air conditioner. The forecast is hot into next week: washingtonpost.com/weather/2025/0…
An extreme heat alert has been issued for today (7/25). Temps are expected to have a high near 99 degrees and a heat index as high as 109. Drink water, find shade, & check on your friends. Learn more about cooling centers and resources 🔗 heat.dc.gov #ReadyDC
If we want our future to be better than our present, we need to do a much better job listening to young people in DC. Do The Write Thing (@DtWTOfficial) is a national movement that lifts up the voices of middle school students on an issue that cuts deeply: youth violence.…

Loved speaking with students from @DCAttorneyGen's High School Advisory Council about restorative justice, youth empowerment, and legal advocacy. Grateful to have these young advocates leading the way in guiding policies impacting students across the District.
