I think the unthinkable, believe the unbelievable and discuss the undiscussable.
Shows what garbage the Hierarchy of Road Users is when a road user can kill another road user further down the chain. I raised this possibility 4 years ago and the unrepresentative cycle lobby accused me of whataboutery.
Shocking news …. Cyclist jumping red involved in fatal collision with motorcyclist who didn’t make it.
Shows what a nonsense the Hierarchy of Road Users is. If that cyclist had fallen into the path of the lorry, the driver of the lorry would have been presumed guilty until proven innocent.
A cyclist almost kills another with a close pass hitting him diverting him into a vehicle. Cycling recklessly and furiously Thank you to Simon for video For more 👇🏼 youtube.com/@Cab-cab-67?si… .
Bring on a compulsory helmet law now, with £100 fines for breaching it. Empower civil enforcement officers to levy the fines.

Can't come soon enough. Genuinely responsible cyclists will not stop cycling if this is brought in.

"If voting chagned anything theyd'd aboilish it" said Ken Livingstone correctly. We voted to leave the EU. So what did the elite do? Punish us with closer union with WHO and WEF. Every treaty that we sign with these tyrants is one more step towards the abolition of democracy.
The crackdown on cars and people's mobility has been decided outside democracy at a higher level. Councils are following orders from above, which is why they ignore public opposition to these policies. telegraph.co.uk/news/2025/07/2…

Sadly there's truth in this.
The huge cost to the tax payer from cycling - there are no benefits !
Shows how much unrepresentative cycling lobby groups really care about the genuinely vulnerable. Defund the lot. And break their influence as Maggie did with militant unions in the 1980s.

Predict and provide for the majority, who are public transport users first, and private transport users 2nd. There is no choice. The current "restrict and divide" policy is crucifying London.
There us no great surge in cycling uptake. Will Norman & LCC always quote percentage increases to mask the fact that a large percentage of a small number is still a small number. 95.7% of people do not cycle within London. .@ediz1975 when you challenge them they block you.
Absolute wet woke garbage. As a pedestrian more than a driver, I've never felt like a 2nd class citizen because of the Green Cross Code. In fact it's enabled me to live to 65. The Hierarchy of Road Users makes me feel like a 10 class citizen.
Of course. Create a dangerous situation (or allow it to develop), then teach kids that it's their responsibility to avoid it. Or you could just make it safer. Green cross code - teaching kids that pedestrians are second class citizens since 1970.
theguardian.com/society/2025/m… Newham, a rock-solid working class Labour borough, heads up the drug crime stats for the first 6 months of the year. How does the Labour mayor of London propose to deal with this ? Soften cannabis legislation. He hates the working class...

No council has any business bri ging targets to feduce car mileage by X%. Even North Korea doesn't go that far.
The goal of this draconian council plan is reportedly to reduce car mileage by 25% per person. It speaks volumes that there's little or no mention of the economic impact of restricting the public's mobility. Maybe they just don't care. newsroom.bathnes.gov.uk/news/long-term…
We need to very careful about who we take seriously when it comes to transport policy. If I saw a pedestrian juggling cats while crossing the road I'd call the RSPCA.
The point is they should be allowed to be dumb as a flock of sheep. City streets are for people and they should be able to cross the street juggling cats if they want to. It’s drivers’ responsibility to avoid hitting them.
This is how bad crime has been in London for the first 6 months of the year. Hardly a coincidence that the city's police and crime commissioner is currently on a trade mission to Africa. How does that help the poor citizens of Croydon and Newham to name but two?

Strategic give-and-take, use of individual judgement and forgiving the genuine errors of others, are part and parcel of safe and expeditiius road use. The current fad for idolising so-called "vulnerability" (meaning unaccountability) is actually making roads MORE dangerous.
