Today we remember the 7/7 bombings 20 years on. I still have lots of memories of that awful day. Earlier today, I laid a wreath and represented the London Assembly at a very moving memorial service. We’ve come out stronger in tackling terrorism and hate in all its forms since.

At the 7/7 Memorial in Hyde Park, I joined the Prime Minister and representatives of our emergency services to lay a wreath to honour the 52 people whose lives were cruelly stolen. Our thoughts and prayers remain with all of their loved ones and all those who were injured.
Today, we mark 20 years since the horrendous 7 July terror attacks shook our city. We remember the 52 people whose lives were cruelly stolen, and pay tribute to those who ran towards danger. London’s determination to stand together is stronger than ever.
