@ChitchClaire
Proud to do the best job in the world in a fabulous London school. Passionate about equality community and family. Want cleaner air across the whole of London.
Jane Ogborn was our A level advisor for years. Warm and formidable in equal measure. She was clear what A level literature should deliver for a student.
I found this too - the notes I typed on my Corona typewriter, to fuel the English dept meeting where we began to construct our 2-year A Level course, thinking about set texts & cw texts, with criteria for choice. This kind of discussion was a key part of developing ourselves 1
14yo Aaliyah Ekedi-Morrow has been missing from Ladbroke Grove, London for 3 weeks. She was last seen wearing school uniform - a black blazer, a white shirt, a black skirt & a black & pink striped tie. She is of slim build, has light brown hair often worn in a bun. Please help🙏🏾
Great. Perfect time would be during term time at about 8.15am when so many local secondary school children try to navigate the crossings. It’s seriously frightening. @richardwillq Or after school. 3.30-4pm. Not *as* horrific during school holidays
Today @ Full Council I asked @RezinaChowdhury to support Cllrs in inviting @TfL @willnorman & @SebDance to meet residents in St Martin’s & update them on plans for the Tulse Hill Gyratory, & so they can see this dangerous piece of road first hand. We appreciate your support.
The cars are from side roads too! So where’s the trade off for side road users? Morally indefensible to put traffic on to roads where the buses transport so many. And still NO measures for families here. And no energy for it either.
Cllr Leeming calls choosing Croxted to take all of the traffic in Dulwich during timed restrictions a "trade off," but only because the roads were "choked with traffic" before, so it's fine? Rational reasoning has left the building...

Air pollution is a major trigger for asthma. Our children’s greatest exposure is when travelling to/from school along main roads & Red Routes. LTN schemes that increase congestion & emissions on our busy community roads clearly harm those already most at risk. #AskAboutAsthma
Air pollution is a major trigger for asthma. In London, we’re working hard to improve our air quality to protect the health of children and young people living with asthma. I’m supporting #AskAboutAsthma and raising awareness of how we can enable young Londoners to thrive.
The major water leak on East Dulwich Grove is causing havoc for residents & disrupting the education of pupils at Charter North Dulwich School The poor communication from @thameswater since Thursday is totally unacceptable When will repairs be complete & water supply restored?
How do you explain average bus speeds slowing since 2019, whilst traffic counts are actually down? The explanation is a new factor promoting congestion of public transport routes by private cars. LTN advocates should sell their cars and bang the drum for others to do the same.
💯I even told the councillor this when he doorknocked us, but apparently it’s all an illusion
What ‘additional measures’ have you called for? We can share ours and we have been granted none despite terrible congestion - NO road crossings and regular crashes.
Generalisation completely unsupported. LTNs have negligible impact on main roads. Where this occur, in most cases it reduces rapidly and in the small number of cases remaining, we call for additional measures to mitigate. All exemplified and possible in West Dulwich 💚
NOT true for walking cycling and scooting families without cars on Croxted road. Ask them. We are neighbours and yet you seem to know nothing of the significant difficulties we suffer. No one here ‘pro car’ all pro cycle lane and public transport. Heartbreaking to hear. 😞

Consultation is key. Why haven’t residents been asked? @ChitchClaire @AirCroxted
Here’s one finding from start if the LTN. Then the @TfL report @AirCroxted can you share?
You want to share this data? Thankfully we will agree that an overall reduction in car usage for things like school runs should be stimulated by more restrictions and taxes on car usage in urban areas, especially for short journeys.
This kind of counter community bickering has come from LTN culture. On Croxted we now have peak time congestion which makes walking and cycling to school horrible. Fact. It’s worse now post LTN in DV. Bus times slowed so #3 frequency cut. Bus is packed. Ask school kids. And @TfL
Property prices reflect the desirability of an area to live in. When they go up against the av, it indicates an area is getting better. When they go down it suggests the opposite. So 'No Clean Air for any part of Dulwich' want to live in a less desirable place? Bizarre 🤯
Please include Croxted residents in discussions 🙏. We’ve reached out many times -have experience as well as the most up to date data to respond intelligently to Croxted. How can plans be made without residents involved? Trust at all time low 🙁 @RezinaChowdhury @LambethLabour
What do those bus priority measures look like ? We have no idea. It would be good if we could be part of the discussion @RezinaChowdhury @LambethLabour We are very concerned about speeding cars and our vulnerable residents @ChitchClaire

I walk this way every day to school. As said before, I turn myself into a lollipop person to help the 100s of school kids navigate this junction. Lights and phasings are tricky for pedestrians. An *actual* lollipop lady would be a start! 🙏🙏🙏🙏 Then speed cams Then redesign.
this has been going on since 2012. Exactly how long does it actually take? Over a decade ago there is a post stating “progress is possible.” Yet 13 years later that progress is still at the writing letters stage!
I do wonder what this has done for community cohesion. Even after 5 years of congestion -I’m proud that Croxted RA would NOT agree to a plan that makes life worse for Norwood Road neighbours. We are West Dulwich families too. #Mainroadfamilies. @AirCroxted
Anna Goodman's husband, running the pro-LTN group in West Dulwich said "it's much easier to talk to your neighbours when there aren't 200 cars an hour going past your front door." No thought given to the those on the now much busier roads. 🤡 bbc.co.uk/news/articles/…
And today
Week day 1163 the evaporation we were promised hasn’t happened, no improvement for people living here. @SouthwarkLabour @helenhayes @margynewens
17/06/25: 08.21am Croxted Road SE21 Come rain or shine New normal for Croxted families who walk scoot or cycle to school. Congestion. Noise. Horrible. Measures for main roads? (After 5 years, none!) @helenhayes_ @RezinaChowdhury @AirCroxted
